Because the bill passed on Saturday sets the agenda. He’s just made sure it’s happening as per his remit. The real issue doesn’t seem to be one of impartiality. The issue seems to be that he’s not showing partiality to the government, which isn’t in his remit.So perhaps you’d like to explain how the withdrawal of the order paper from the government and today’s reasons by the speaker for not allowing the reading of the act are reconcilable under his justification today?
