Shutting down private schools, shutting down migrant detention centers, deluded green deals regarding carbon

1. Not party policy

2. Not party policy

3. Not party policy and versions of a Green New Deal are gaining traction across the world.

so you want me to get a poll that shows that the Tories are more trusted on economy and crime and these are higher priority in an election than getting more paternity leave?

The economy one might be useful as it relates to your original claim below. You didn’t mention crime so that’s not relevant is it?

people don’t not vote for labour because of an lack of awareness they have such policies but because they know basic needs such as employment stability and economic management will be ruined if they get into power

The general public is a bit thick-there is no controversy to be had

there we have it - the private schoolboy knows what’s best for the thick working classes - probably the most bigoted disgusting comment I’ve seen

The truth hurts.

You do know your idols have been exploiting this fact for decades?

So basically you are superior to the working classes who are a bit thick

lol you’ve become Jacob Rees Mogg

It’s not only the working classes, it’s the cross section of society. Is this coming from the same G who openly boasts about his wealth?

Charlatans have been exploiting public ignorance since time began

I don't, you & others on here seem to argue that they are in some way because they are making an educated & well informed observation on things. You have argued against me saying that experts can be wrong, even with all the gathered data, so I view their conclusions differently to you.
As for the link I provided - that was an example among many articles on Google related to the subject...to demonstrate many people think he was more socialist than credited with.

You just refuse to be swayed on anything unless it comes from one of your luuvvies

The irony here.

I take each source on its own.

The argument Blair was socialist when the first thing he did was remove Clause 4 then set about privatising health and education as well as stuff like light touch regulation on finance and cosying up to big media on copyright reforms is hilarious.

He was a Social Democrat at best.

Oh and following Bush and Cheney into an illegal war in the middle of the desert

But again...this is just you latching onto something that YOU THINK/WISH someone has said so that you can take issue with them because either you have taken issue with something they have said before or they have taken issue with something you have said.

It's a sad obsession.

And I suspect you do not have anything better to do because you seem to spend an awful lot of time doing it.

not really, the only one doing that on here is you.

Tories more trusted on crime having removed 10,000 police since coming to power-right

police numbers now are twice the number per capita than 40 years ago and Johnson has pledged even more

the only labour comment on policy in this area is I recall a rather confused interview with Mr Corbyn former lover and Nick Ferrari which did not go well

It’s not anecdotal polling has been done to survey public perception of key issues compared to the reality. Then we have Osborne admitting the 2010 bullshit and David Cameron’s adviser on TV bragging about him wearing an armband to win support from ‘scum’. More recently you have immigration cited as the biggest factor in people voting Leave despite most immigration being non EU combined with the strongest correlation being level of education.

The general public is a bit thick-there is no controversy to be had
Same applies to those who voted remain. Let's keep things the same because it's too much hard work to think about it.

Obfuscation-police numbers have dropped by 10,000 since they took office and all Johnson is doing is proposing to restore the losses while not even outlining how they will be recruited.

It’s like nicking someone’s car then giving it back a decade later

Corbyn would collapse the economy with all that borrowing he plans:smuggrin:

Project Fear ;)

In all seriousness if you care about the public debt you should be focused on kicking the Tories out ASAP. As always they’ve ballooned the public debt and we need a Keynesian government to get it back down.

But if you cared about the public debt you wouldn’t be pushing for Brexit which will cost trillions and deliver precisely nothing in return.

Edit: some facts. These are from 2016 and the last three years have been worse so would look even worse for Tories.

No. Literally anyone who has thought about it and not got distracted by WW2 memes knows Remain is best for the country. Even if they don’t think the EU is all that great.

But if he didn't want an election the remoaners would be doing everything possible to delay brexit even more so its a non starter my friend

His deal has just passed a vote so I’m not sure how you work that out. Truth is if he’d been trying to get a deal from the moment he got in office not only would he have not been heckled in a Manchester street asking him why is he here when he should be in Brussels, we would easily have been a couple of weeks further ahead than we are now, at least. If he hadn’t gone through the farce of proroguing parliament we’d probably be another week ahead of where we are now on top of that. If he’d been successful in getting Parliament prorogued we wouldn’t even be where we are now. At some point you’re going to have to accept that no one has done more to delay Brexit than Boris. That’s before you even get into him delivering a deal he’d previously stood on the stage at a DUP conference and stated that no PM should not and will not deliver the Brexit deal that he is now trying to deliver, that’s a deliberate 2 year delay on his own deal, then you’ve got the times he voted against May’s deal. Delay delay delay.

Just listening to Boris on R4.

On what planet is that anyone but his fault for delaying Brexit?

Odd given that the Labour Party and the Green Party have previously voted to leave the EU and even the leader of the undems campaigned against it in 2007

facts eh?

TBF, when budgets were cut It was up to the old bill where they made those savings. It was easier under police regs and contracts to make the older coppers retire when they'd got their 30 years service in and simply no replace them. There were still loads doing investigations and back office work that a civvy could fulfill. What the should have done was make those who carried a warrant card and weren't on restricted duties get back on the front line.

Sorry but what is/are ww2 memes ?
Over 17 million weren't distracted by whatever memes are and I'm guessing they are those who were born around 1935 or earlier in order to remember Ww2 which puts a lot of them dead at the time of the referendum . So that would mean the overwhelming majority who voted leave would have been born post 1945. I may be thick but I'd guess they have no memory of WW2.

Its parliaments, don't you remember when they voted against getting it through in Boris's timetable

Sanders beats him in virtually all polling

It may be another case of winning the popular vote but not the electoral college. Especially with the further gerrymandering and ID needed to combat (almost non-existent) voter fraud (which mainly occurs on the Rep side by people fooled by the right-wing rhetoric and do it to 'even it out'.

Bernie is quite hard left for America, especially in 'red' states whereas over here he's thought of as quite reasonable left wing.

Peronally I'd have loved to see Michelle Obama go for it. To see Trump not just beaten by an Obama, but someone black AND a woman. Sweet! Plus she's very good at public speaking and she's wipe the floor with Trump. It'd be fun just to see him have a meltdown live on TV in a debate.

If parliament had not been called back from being prorogued that timetable wouldn't have been feasible anyway.

Why do you want probably the most important piece of legislation in a generation to be rushed through quicker than say a piece of legislation stating the minimum required width of a doorway?

Alexander has threatened to withdraw the Brexit bill, not parliament.

Yes they were boomers, the war generation are mostly Remain.

And this shit has been all over my FB wall for years, you must’ve been blind to miss it.
