Your post before this one was literally in response to me saying something about it where I drew a comparison to comments Grendel makes.

So explain why Juncker shouldn't have said it.

Grandel is just someone anonymous on the internet. Juncker holds a very powerful role in the EU. Yet a few of you jump on the back of Grendel for quoting Juncker but not a word against someone who should never have made the comment at all.

But you know this.

No I didn’t say Junker has done nothing wrong did I? Recall that you keep accusing me of putting words in your mouth. I’m merely pointing out Grendel has said things with the same sentiment and worse. Also seem to remember you had a go at me for calling Grendel a racist when he previously conflated all Germans as Nazis. Why are you happy to defend Grendel yet condone Junker?

Show me where I have ever defended any sort of racist comment.

Why do you make comments that are untrue?

You make a valid point but it’s not my job to police the comments of the worlds officials and as I said I was pointing out the hypocrisy of Grendel. The conversation didn’t start out as me having a go at Grendel for saying those things, Grendel was accusing me of using an offensive stereotype while doing it himself.

I said you conflated them with Nazis. Few months ago you said a German should never be trusted to lead the EU or something. Last night you referred to them as the “4th reich”.

Well there was the one that remainers are the sneering elite. The one about leavers being thick and uneducated. The one about the EU being the 4th reich. I think I counted 4 or 5 last night.

Hypocrisy of quoting what a leader of the EU has said?

So you don't quote or comment on anything Boris says?

They are all there to be shot at. If they say something idiotic there is nothing wrong in pointing it out.

It was ages ago but I can try and search for it if you like. It might not have even been you.

No it wouldn't have been me. But you stated it as a fact.

I’m not saying there is anything wrong in pointing it out but if that’s your criticism of them and you make similar comments yourself then it’s hypocrisy.

I didn’t intend to state it as fact hence “I seem to remember”. The more I think about it the more I think it was someone else so I take it back.

This isn't true but the German government does the best out of the EU than anyone. Even the Euro benefits them no end. Now Germans hold more top jobs than anyone else. The last one to get a top job shouldn't even have got it. And when caught breaking the rules they did nothing except to ignore nearly everyone in the EU on the matter.

Agreeing with someone who has a powerful job is hypocritical?

More like he had some of you hook, line and sinker. It was a bad thing for him to have said. But when he shows it was said by Juncker nothing is said.

That is the true meaning of hypocrisy.

No. I’ll explain again.

Criticising someone for saying something when you’ve essentially said the same thing is hypocrisy.

Doesn't everyone in the whole world, let alone Europe, know why Germany gets favouritism within the EU ? The EU is all about Germany. Surely there isn't anyone who would dispute this obvious fact.
Come on martcov, we know you're on here under a new name, tell me differently.

Parliament has about 70% remain 30% leave. A GE would be a chance of correcting this.

To me this is the problem. Parliament don't want what the public wants. But parliament are there to serve the public.

The difference is they are supposed to do what is best for us. But that doesn't come across well when they act worse than children in a playground.

You are correct that they act worse than schoolchildren but the 2017 GE was supposed to correct the leave/remain bias.

But you also pointed out that they are supposed to do what is best for us. That doesn't necessarily correlate as 'what the public wants'. Are they public servants there to put through the will of their constituents, or are they there to do what they believe is best for them?

That's why I want the HoL to be a PR of the elction result. Not bound or chosen by constituents so we could hopefully have a parliament capable of doing both.

The one good thing about leaving the EU would be not to be ruled by those like Juncker. As you will know it is what I have always said. But look at it on here. They either get defended or their comments get ignored. All leaders want to take power back off them. But they will never relinquish their power. They constantly make it stronger by promoting those who will continue the same even if they are not allowed by laws, rules and regulations set by the EU themselves.

Instead we'd be 'ruled' by the likes of the self-interested Alexander. Or Corbyn. Or with a massive dose of salt Swinson. Just because they're British doesn't make them better. Juncker is not great. But neither are the options we can put forward domestically. They're all largely cut from the same cloth.

The EU started as a project of Charles de Gaulle to make France the leading partner. Despite French and British efforts to prevent it Germany reunified and succeeded in crafting a more prosperous economy. The most powerful economy ends up calling the shots not out of conspiracy but out of circumstance.

Go on, call it the 4th Reich.

no I didn’t

European Union like Nazi Germany, says Corbyn brother

Pro Eu people like Will Hutton believe this as well so it’s not even offensive is it?

You did and have on numerous occasions.

Of course it’s offensive. Whoever else has expressed similar statements has no bearing on wether or not it’s offensive and bringing up examples is just another of your childish distractions, hence me not calling it out, for which I’m being criticised by Astute. If I call it out you’ve successfully shifted the conversation on to something else.

Both sides used the same tactics. Are you going to mention what the other side said now?

Didn't think so.

The leave voters can't have a job because they were supposed to lose it if we voted leave. The leave voters can't own their own home as house values were supposed to crash. They couldn't have been worried about war as Cameron told them about the rows.of gravestones.

Was the economy predictions just wrong or lies? If just wrong the same people have predicted what will happen if we leave. Yet it is spoken as though they will definitely be right this time. But they are frequently wrong. They didn't even see the last recession happening.

Would appreciate it if you didn’t come steaming in waving your dick about trying to insinuate that I am in some way justifying the actions of one part whilst accusing the other. This thread of the conversation only started due to people denying that there was war-like rhetoric circling social media. There is a documentary on it - that is all I’ve said.

The projection in this post.

There’s three types of people making money out of the EU: land owners that pretty much everyone agrees needs reform, grifters like Farage who refuse to do their job and set up their affairs to swindle as much as they can, and business that trades with the EU.

God I wish some of you could step outside the UK for a bit and see how the rest of Europe sees you as a bunch of looney conspiracy theorists.

But I’m sure it’s a coincidence Britain has this weird view of the EU when it’s had 40 years of right wing press printing proven lies about it and other countries haven’t. After all, no one is influenced by the media and billionaires run loss making newspapers out of the goodness of their hearts, right?
You missed all the passengers on the gravy-train.
