Others countries like the states have managed to bring capital back after it was being held abroad. I don’t get why you do Britain down so much. We have a great population and regulation. We’re a fantastic place to do business. There’s more to business than just minimising your tax bill or everyone would be in the Bahamas already.

Out of all my older kids only one doesn't own their own home. The eldest paid £280,000 for her present home. I didn't help. It can be done. But I laugh when those who have to rent a new car every 3 years, have to have the latest gadgets and go on expensive holidays complain that they can't afford their own home.
And before you say it.....like I know you would.....I am not saying that it anyone here. But in no way is it unusual.

If tax cuts are made they make a bit of a hole in the overall tax revenue. If Taxes are raised highly, the rich take their money elsewhere...that is a much bigger hole!

You probably won’t believe me but I refuse to purchase anything from Amazon - this is both due to its treatment of workers and the competitor advantage it gets from not having to pay business rates - not one political party addressed the business tax issues and as a result this company is given the opportunity to dictate retail strategy

I have never bought off Amazon for the same reason. But I nearly did once years ago. My wife wanted something. The only place I could find ut was Amazon. It wasn't just as easy as buying it and paying for it. They wanted me to register and all that. I came to my senses and pulled out of buying the item. Told the wife she couldn't have it.
The world is set up to make the rich richer and keep the poor at the bottom. Those who dodge tax should be given the chance to pay the tax due or refused entrance to that market. Those who help them not ti pay tax should be hit financially. Laws should change that mean tax is paid where the money is made.

Yep, people hear trickle used as this buzzword that must mean that they’re sharing the wealth. The reality is that regardless of the yachts, private jets, penthouses, holiday homes, second and third homes they own day to day they spend a significantly less percentage of their expendable earnings than the man in the street does for exactly the reasons you say. They can only eat the same amount as the next man, they can only wear the same number of socks as the next man etc etc. The word trickle is actually the problem not the cure.
