Labour are a lot more anti-SNP than under Miliband TBF. I’d expect them to do what they say and dare the smaller parties to vote down a Queens Speech and enable Brexit. I’d also expect a government running like that to last just long enough to run a second referendum then fall apart. Doubt it’ll happen though. Looking more like a Tory majority.

Agree with regard to labour back benches. There’s some decent MPs on there and probably stronger than those in the shadow cabinet.

Im a socialist.
I’ll expand a bit.
My main issue is climate change. The Tories are basically denying it and kicking it into the long grass rather than using it as an opportunity to lead the world and grow the economy.
Outside of that I believe in public services. I believe in public ownership of natural monopolies and free access to education. I could go into depth on why but the fact is I do.
Labour under Corbyn is the only one close to tackling the issues I care about.
Wouldn’t get too excited, fine margins in relation to key constituencies

As you’ll learn when you grow up, a leader doesn’t pick sides when the people under them are split 50:50.
We should have the option to Brexit without destroying our economy. As a soft Remainer I might even vote for it as it’ll meet the referendum result and not turn us into a shit hole like Johnson’s “plans” (such as they exist).
We need to come together and move on as a country. No deal or near as damnit will likely lead to the issue carrying on and is going back in on shit terms.

The irony is, that more working class people are in employment under the Tories than there were under labour.
I'm no fan of Johnson, I've been a union member for over 30 years, and worked on factory shop floors for over 37 years, but I cant continue to vote labour under Corbyn's leadership.

Neither are actually a threat, that’s a ridiculous accusation. But both have history with less than savoury regimes. Boris is just as likely to be compromised, if not more considering his personal life and the circles he runs in.

Worth digging into the underlying data. Particularly the trend over the period of time they were polling.
If the movement to Labour continues at the rate it did during polling, which covered a period including the Conservative manifesto launch and the Chief Rabbi's anti-semitism comments, the result would be a hung parliament. That would pretty much mirror what happened over the last election campaign.

Conservatives have started to adjust which seats they are targeting now as their internal polling is showing the gap tightening. They're putting more money than they planned to into seats they already occupy.

I’ve never really understood the argument of people died so you could vote. I assume they died for the right of self determination which includes the right to elect not to vote
The only encouragement I’ve had so far in this truly dire campaign is that I’ve seen all leaders openly laughed at when they drone out their scripted answers. This would never have happened in the past. Michael Foot was derided by the press but actually was a hugely respected figure in and out of politics. Even empty heads like Kinnock and Major suddenly seem like political giants
Now we have lazy Z list celebrities who cannot even be bothered to remember facts let alone care about the issues. They know they are untouchable so can’t be bothered

On the radio this morning, the general view of the "experts" was both Boris and Jezza are making pledges on spending that they can't make without something giving - ie. putting taxes up or reigning in the spending.
