Our next away game is Wycombe. Some seemed to think they wouldn’t last but they won again today, 7 points clear of second and 12 clear of us.
They are a much better team than they get credit for. They will turn us over.

Why have we abandoned 3-5-2? Just because 4-5-1 worked better against Ipswich doesn't mean it's the way we should play every game.

Naivety mate manager thinks how we set up against a stronger side is how we should against an all edged lesser why on earth did we not go 2 up top today ?

What really tells the story is our goal difference, only +2.
The lowest of the top 10 teams.
We just cannot score goals.
IMO equal parts poor strikers and negative tactics by Robins.

2 wins in 10, no away wins, no back to back wins all season, only won by more than a single goal once, lowest amount of goals scored in top 10. I've seen better stats. I'm not sure we're as good as people think or our league position suggests. Got what we deserved today.

Regardless of how questionable Robin’s judgement was today or how inept some of the players were:
There was a stonewall red card that wasn’t given + Their equalizer came after a foul on Marosi + Their winner was after they broke after a foul not given to us = Referee was a c**t
We weren’t great but they were no better and dirty fuckers. Hate to lose when it’s more about referee ineptitude than performance

Well that’s our near full strength team and plenty of options on the bench too.
If we are serious about playoffs etc then we have to be winning that game.
We can all blame the referee (again) for our own deficiencies but it’s a lame excuse I’m afraid. We just didn’t turn up especially 2nd half.

I know this is paraphrased to publish an article but...

“We gave the ball away in poor areas and we looked tired and understandably so. There are no excuses, we just didn’t control the game well enough.

What were your thoughts on today’s referee? Agree with him watching McCallum on the floor for 2 minutes and then blowing his whistle just as Shipley was about to shoot? How about when he then have their keeper the ball to restart? Is that what the rules say? Or maybe the second yellow for Norburn that wasn’t given when he then booked Walsh straight afterwards for an identical challenge.

It does get tiresome criticising refs all the time, and I get why you might defend them, but surely you can see that we’ve had some stinkers this year? I’d rather not be able to criticise them, really.

Not personally saying that “it was the refs fault” but it really doesn’t help. Shrewsbury were pulling shirts (another one that Oggy and Eakin thought should have been a yellow but wasn’t given) and leaving the foot in from the start today, and they got away with it. Why?

Waiting at a freezing cold station my thoughts were:

1. Neither side deserved to win, few genuine chances created.

2. SBA in generally good voice and a good atmosphere.

3. Inexplicable decision making by O’Hare when clean through.

4. Never seen a ref stop an attack dead then give the ball to the keeper. Ridiculous. O’Hare fouled right in front of me, not given then they score-neat assist by the ref there.

5. Biamou and Godden were stranded on their own. Even on the few times we broke their lines ,we flapped ours.

Very frustrating trip with a predictable outcome. Will not make the top 6 letting shit teams off the hook every week.
