Finished my third season, second in the Championship. Jordan Shipley wasn't doing much in midfield and was looking to leave but injuries made me switch formation and personnel and he's found his calling on the left wing, also must have enabled the 'Fairytale Mode' cheat by accident as he scored the winner in injury time against West Brom to win the playoff final

Really enjoying this years. Promoted as champions in first season. Currently second in the championship 10 games in, but starting to hit a rough run of form. Got some great cheap players in, playing 4-2-3-1 Gegenpress.

It's crazy how different the value of players is depending on how you manage! E.g. Pask for me is nothing more than a rotation option but is one of your best assets!

I also see you have George Thomas! Tried to get him but he rejected me for Dundee!

Jones and Hiwula being valued so high is a particular surprise, they're both very much impact subs rather than starters so if big bids come in at any point they're off like a shot.

Ok finally hooked in on my cov season, took a while.

my top tip for the second half of League 1, if you manage to offload any of the dead wood or get your stars stripped from you mid-season and can scrape together a few 100k:

Okyere Wriedt from Bayern Munchen II is an absolute steal, has 11 in 12 so far

Signed him off the back of his prodigious record IRL at Bayern Munich II of 43 goal in 59 games

Plays for Ghana but is a EU citizen, can get him in on similar wages to Allen

Has anyone successfully kept hold of Adi Viveash? both Cov games (a failed earlier attempt) ive played he buggers off mid season to Derby. got a fair whack of compo but its a ball ache

It's impossible to keep Viveash! Have done two separate Cov saves in FM20 and he left in the 2nd season both times for a Prem team.

Pask, Hiwula, Kastaneer and Jobello are all stars for me. Godden was awful. Feel like the game is a bit too easy this year. The teams at the top of the table aren't consistent at all so it's weirdly easy to put together a small unbeaten run and glide into the playoffs or top 2.

Bombed off Hywula and Krastaneer. Got about 1.5m for the pair. Just never did enough 1st half of the season. This Wridet lad is unstoppable, over 1 in 1 for goals and loads os assists.

What happened with Brexit on your game? Got a feeling mine is gonna destroy the fun. Looks like I'll be allowed 17 non brits which is fine but they would need to be current internationals?! That's not tenable surely?

I kept hold of Viveash for a while but he went to Palace as assistant manager at the end of the second season. Brexit on mine appears to be the softest option where players already in the league can crack on, and non-EU players have to play X% of international games to qualify for a permit or be signed for a big fee.

I’ve had bad brexit both times. All non-UK players need work permits and to get them need “X international appearances” or to be earning a certain amount - which is hard when you can’t afford it.

My unlikely promotion from the Championship has been shown up as unlikely after half a season in the Premier League showed how ill-prepared the squad is for top flight football. 2 wins, 2 draws, 17 defeats. My only hope is that a) I at least beat Derby's record from that year b) I don't get fired and can regroup for a season to prepare properly for another go

my problem is i don't often play wingers, im going wingbacks, Dabo and Mason have both really improved and are judged to have championship potential. have McCallum and some lad on loan called Lamptey(!) as back up.

there was a total bun fight for Kasta in Jan after he agitated for a move. think I got 700k!

top by 5pts in League 1 but the whole squad went mental when I sold a freebee Algerian DM that i picked up preseason. dunno why as he was only cover for Kelly. they basically demanded I strengthen. so went out and spent 140k on ex Liverpool DM Kevin Stewart from hull. Best bit was Hull agreed to pay 3k of his 4.5k wages. he has been excellent.

next deal im working on is offloading Godden for Omar Bogle from Cardiff as ive not got any target men to bring on if plan a goes to shit.

Jones has just gotten fully fit and has been great off the bench.

Recon I'll just get a new Striker, Gk and possibly replace Kelly then use the rest to hoover youth released from big teams. got till second half of 2020 before brexit tho so might get in some random foreign punts

wish i haddent bothered, neither has been that great. got rid of Baka, Biamou pre season, were never gonna be up to it (i love biamou iRL! was a real wrench) re negotiated a couple of contracts for a bit less (Jones took a cut) then converted anything i got. not a lot into wages.

I don't want to jinx anything but after the worst first half of a season I've ever had, I'm 29 games in and I've overtaken Sheffield Utd to hit the heights of 19th. If I somehow stay up* this would be the greatest escape since Bryan Robson's West Brom dressed up as Steve McQueen wearing strait jackets.

Where are you getting you graphics pack from? Prem logos especially. Had a quick look but the usual places seem to be asking for cash nowadays. Gave up as not reached the Prem yet so its not been much of an issue.

Just dragged over a massive facepack from fm17-18 which is OK but some of the players look really young. Godden has frosted tips and Walsh looks about 8

I think it should be but I can't say for sure, Cov are one of the teams with full badge and kit already in the game so I'm not sure if this pack includes those teams in which case it could overwrite the defaults

if its like the old logo mega packs it will overwrite all existing ones. never saw the point to be honest. I tried deleting certain badges from the file and they just go from the game entirely and arent replaced with the defaults. I guess i could go in and put up to date ones in with the fame file names if it is an issue
