Can see both sides. Liverpool are a great side and play exciting football, however I do still blame them for the fact we never had a European adventure in the 80s and that could have been the catalyst to greatness. Let's not forget Man City were in the third tier since then, who knows if a Sheikh was looking to buy a team in sky Blue what might have happened. Sliding doors, if what, maybe … but it just might have been us!
My God! Here's us having a go at Sunderland fans for bearing a grudge from decades ago, and now you do the same regarding Liverpool! Jeez!

I see Manchester United as being weaker than at any point in 30 years

Arsenal weaker than at any point since the prem began

Chelsea at its weakest point for several years in terms of squad quality

Tottenham weaker than previous 6 years roughly

Man City weaker than last season mainly through retirements and injuries

This obviously means that Liverpool are so far ahead now its almost embarrassing to see how far ahead they are

People mock the French league for the exact same scenario in previous years tbh
But isn’t this football in general? You aren’t always going to be no 1 in a competitive league? All of these teams have won the league in recent history adding Leicester also. The French league cannot day the same

Not really the same imo. They were relegated as a result of their own failings including on the final day when if they'd secured their own result ours wouldn't have affected them. Our exile was as a direct result of outside factors beyond our control.

The French league has had 7 winners in the last 15 years
The Premier league 4 winners in the same period

You could manipulate that to suit any stats, go back 7 years and there is only 2 winners and PSG won 6 of the 7 so it doesn’t prove anything. The prem has never has that kind of domination, United clearly come close but maybe we are just about to start an era of domination by Liverpool ? Who knows!

I think it's a bit of both, liverpool are an outstanding team that's been developed over 3-4 years, head and shoulders above any other team in the league this season and undoubtably one of the best teams in Europe. That said a number of teams have dipped massively this season, Man city in particular.

Man United have been on the decline since fergie left and Arsenal have struggled since Wengers departure. And dont forget that Chelsea have a transfer embargo and lost arguably the best player in the Prem in the summer.

Whatever the circumstances, they happened DECADES ago! My granddad was killed in the blitz, but I don't spend my life hating Germans! Get over it!

They are a proper mess at the moment. The football is aimless, Ole is going to sour his legacy. I wonder how long they can trade off of past glories before the million dollar Noodle partners stop knocking?

dunno how the powers that be in one of the richest clubs in the world cant see they need a Director of football on the transfers not Woodward. they need a coach with a vision (Potch is perfect) and they need a new midfield.

OH well bloody funny watching the car crash

The meltdown on social media is hilarious. United 'fans' saying they're going to protest by unfollowing the club on twitter and not watching games on TV.

FFS the Premiership is the insects league, in football we have the Premier League. If any fans can grasp this it should be ours.

Man United have been on the decline since fergie left (he never planed ahead and was selfish, he ran that team to the end and never brought better players to keep it going on (did he wan't to or just be seen as i was a god and no one else can touch me), remember he was involved with bringing in the managers after.

Wenger, deffo done well. After the move to the new stadium, he kept them in the Champions League every season and fans were not happy (i bet they long for that now).

Chelsea embargo, COULD NOT HAPPEN TO A BETTER TEAM, remember how they treated us when they had to play in our away kit (i WILL NEVER FORGET THAT SHIT, WANKERS). Plus the team that brought in the Chelsea smile, kicked off everywhere they went, just nasty horrible fuckers, deserve whatever they get. Just never seen any class from them, always just scum!!!!!!

The patronising "this is your new manager" speech by Fergie to the Man U crowd about Moyes was cringey.
