I know we're very much a different outfit to back then and this was when the formation changed, but surprised with how confident some are RE a win, when we were unbelievably lucky to scrape a 2-1 in the home fixture. Fleetwood should have been about 4 or possibly 5 up at half time. One of their chipped efforts was almost like they were taking the piss it was that easy for them in the first half. A result here, be it a win or a draw, is a good result.

True but it was one way traffic after the break.

I agree with this except to say that their very early goal, which would have given them a lift whilst knocking us back, was very definitely offside.
Edit: just seen posts above saying the same thing.

He has played 1 game as a DM, Jamie Allen has played over 30.

This isn't football manager. Jamie Allen isnt an out and out attacking midfielder and would easily slot into a DM role and is much less of a risk

He actually isn’t really an attacking midfielder at all. In fact, he really doesn’t suit the system we play and I think the clamour for him to play is based on what people think he is going to be like. He’s definitely more suited to midfield three.

Get over yourself you melon.

We have different opinions. I think Pask is versatile enough and had all the attributes I’d want. I haven’t see that in Allen. If it was McFadz I wouldn’t be suggesting it. It’s not just about the position they usually play. Pask was specifically brought in to cover at DM with Eccles this season

He was excellent when he came on. Occupied the defenders well and created space for others.

No point in even trying mate. He literally will never admit he’s wrong. He wouldn’t admit Biamou did well even if he scored a couple of 40 yard screamers or a couple of overhead kicks or a wondergoal in a play off match.... oh wait

No he wasn't. He was brought in to cover RB, with the long-term aim of CB, but in pre-season he was so impressive he was close to starting the first match until his injury.

OK looking back I may have made that bit up. I stand by that he’s got the attributes to play DM.

If they beat us tomorrow they'll be 3 points behind us having played the same number of games so I'd say yes.
Agree. Draw be a good result

That said imo they r a rival for playoffs and not autos. Just dont tgibk they have enuff for top 2. Dnt think they will make top 6 either

But thats end of season and we r playing them tommrow. Tough game

To be fair I quite like the idea of Robins reloading games until we win and sitting there in an office with the time machine

Win would be a huge result here and massive statement.

Hopefully the FA Cup doesn't prove to be too much of a distraction as we've got a great chance to get promoted this season.

Surprised to see some say they'd be happy with a draw. If we're serious about automatic promotion we have to be looking to win every game we play. This is the stage of the season where a couple of teams always emerge, go on crazy runs and roll over teams. It happens every season. A draw isn't the end of the world, but you can't be happy with it either.

People seem to have convinced themselves that this season will be different, but I'm not sure it will be. Go back over recent seasons, and the fewest amount of games won over a 46 game season for automatic promotion is 25. I think we probably need to win 12-13 games out of the remaining 19, that's a win ratio far better than what we have achieved so far this season. If we don't do that, someone else will, the table doesn't differ all that much at the end of every season.

We have to start winning games week in week out.

Just been at the coventry referees association meeting and the invited guest talking about teamwork is the assistant referee for Bristol Rovers v Coventry City on Saturday afternoon. He was great!

This season is not like most, the teams at the very top aren’t as dominant as usual

We are going to win the next 2 games Fleetwood & Bristol Rovers then guess what - we will probably lose at home to Bolton!
I’ve been following this team for far to long!!!!
