Besides G we have the presidential election to look forward to. Would love a charitable wager that Sanders beats Trump if he wins the primary...

I never ascribed it to just one thing. But both were influential along with a master charlatan leading the other side

Granted, it wasn't just one issue, the main reason WAS Corbyn. Whether you thought he was a "man of peace" or a racist, the fact is he wasn't trusted and the baggage of his past was always a hindrence.

Of all the times we had to be saddled with Corbyn, it was NOW. That is the most tragic aspect of all. Corbyn had May and Johnson. The most dreadful right wing PMs. A half decent opposition would have wiped the floor with them, would have held them to account. Now, we have Brexit and Johnson. Things really couldn't get much worse.

Oh, RLB. That would be much worse.

At least when Boris fucks up everyone who voted for it has no excuse

The Tories picked Johnson purely as he turned polls around as London major and beat Livingstone

He is like a punch drunk boxer now but still would beat Corbyn every time with one hand tied behind his back

Oh and if I was a Labour strategist I would at all costs remove Mcloskey from any media presence. He’s like a caricature from the 70’s and is a symbol of every reason never to vote Labour - best avoided

Makes no difference. Many think Thatcher fucked up and yet even from a position of negative ratings wiped the floor with Kinnock

Starmer is going to get my vote, he always was when the final list of candidates came through. I don’t think RLB is the answer... not as a leader anyway.

I will always be thankful for Corbyn for 2 things. 1) inspiring young people to care about politics again 2) finally setting a clear distinction between Labour and the Tories. It’s a platform that Starmer can adapt and build on.

Dig a bit deeper, the market's been OK but the situation for most Americans hasn't changed. Plus blowing a massive hole in the deficit. Plus against the most popular senator in the country who has strong appeal in the mid West. Many other reasons to believe he'd lose that fight

Other candidates are free to run against him in a primary but his approval with Republicans is enormous so no point
