To anyone thinking we got a bad deal for McCallum:
Not everyone has overreacted, just a couple of people and it is not indicative of the wider fan base.the amount of over reaction to this news is akin to when we draw a league one game.
Daft
Transfers are handled by Robins, the recruitment team and the management. It's their call. Wasn't necessarily aimed at you but all the bitching about Sisu on Twitter every time we sell a player is ridiculous.
Peterborough have lost Marcus Maddison
Oxford have lost Baptiste & Fosu
Etc
Etc
Every team at this level has to operate this way. It's not always because they want to but players and agents hold a lot of power.
I understand we are a selling club, and all things considered, if the rumored figure of 3.5m is true then this is an excellent piece of business, I just wished we could hang on to some of these better players for a couple of seasons longer. This would help advance the team in the league and the players would command a higher fee when they went.

I don't think any of those players looked the prospect that McCallum does.Would Bigi, Stevenson, Thomas or Cian Harris have commanded better fees in two years after we sold them?

Where is all this 'frothing'. It's not me that's for sure. There’s no evidence though and the frothing was the same then
Harries looked a real prospect. I thought he’d broken into the Swansea first team...a quick wiki check tells me not. He’s still got time.It hurts to say, but Grenners is right.
I hope McCallum kicks on but there's every chance he stays a league 1 left back.
Harries surprised me as I was sure he would be better they higher the league he played in

Not how football works. Name 1 league one club that has the ability to torn down bids of that size?I understand we are a selling club, and all things considered, if the rumored figure of 3.5m is true then this is an excellent piece of business, I just wished we could hang on to some of these better players for a couple of seasons longer. Why were people losing their shit when we sold them then?I don't think any of those players looked the prospect that McCallum does.

Lol.PSB Group reckons if we get promoted then all of our players raise in value

With the exception of Sunderland none, that's why they generally stay or return to league 1.Not how football works. Name 1 league one club that has the ability to torn down bids of that size?
I'd have said Sunderland but they look like they'll be up shit creek soon if they don't get promoted.

They have mortgaged their stadium on an unsecured loan
I can't see that happening to McCallum.

Every player sold attracts the same general opinion of asset stripping. Clarke Harris is likely to go for over £1m today which is poor business on our part as we gave him away yet oddly this will get no negativity

Assuming they get relegated, I can see him being a starter for them next year. Thinking about it, It’s almost like they’re planning for relegation, which is actually no bad thing for them. A well run club. He'd probably have been better staying at our level. Big moves aren't always right. Norwich have a record of handling these young prospects well so think it's a good move for him.

How can you have an unsecured mortgage? Surely that’s a contradiction.
