Hmm if I don t want to go to a game I don t go. Not sure I would feel the need to lie to appease a bunch of strangers on a football forum, how strange

Or similarly have to explain why you DO go.

Whole tone of this forum is a bot odd at the minute. We should face up to the fact that most of the 10 years on the championship has been turgid. Next season gives some opportunity of success and yet already we are written off by our own fans.

If we had 16,000 people there every week success would be in our grasp. But there will not be. There will be all those supporters who stay away out of principal - or only go if they don't pay.

I don't see a problem with buying your season ticket on the last minute before it goes up.
SISU wont invest a budget unless they need to entice you.

It is easy for me to say though as I have to work the odd Saturday so I won't get a season ticket and pay as I go.

I do think it is a shame sisu don't extend the early bird deal until the budget is authorized for those who do have to buy a ticket.

SISU should reward those loyal fans and try and buid bridges. If they did that they would also sell s lot more tickets :)

Im finding it hard for a reason to go, its just not the same anymore. I miss Highfield road the pubs and the people. I have no affinity for the club or the Ricoh its only the name i support. I will probably get a season ticket a day or 2 before the start of the season but it wont go on for much longer like this. Anyone got a razor blade i can borrow.

Will you come back if SISU are still in charge and we are top of the league at Christmas?

Great point! If we are top of the league by Xmas the place will be buzzing with twenty thousand plus! That just proves that all that matters is the team.

Absolutely respect your stance, and I've never said that anyone should not go to the Ricoh. I HAVE said that "I WILL NOT" I would never call any supporter a traitor for attending the Ricoh, unlike a poster who HAS called supporters who DON'T go to the Ricoh traitors. I choose to go to away games to show my support for the "City", and will carry on doing so, till SISU are gone!:blue:

I guarantee that if we have a great season, that you will be there at the Ricoh.

Until SISU have gone, or can prove to me that they are truly going to back the team(Invest in decent players) be transparent with supporters, have a forward thinking plan, and put it into motion. A lot of supporters have short memories. Have we all forgotten SISU promised £30m for players and "Doing up Ryton", How much did Coleman have to buy players??? FOOK ALL!
So...skybluesteve...Unless drastic action is taken by SISU, I guarantee that I WON'T be at the Ricoh next season.

Interesting view matey. Personally I would give my right arm to SEE us being promoted and wouldn't miss it for anything!

surely when we go to the Ricoh the money isn't going to SISU its actually going to the stadium/higgs trust to pay the rent, well if we had enough fans turning up topay the rent!

There was only 550 at Burnley!

It seemed more than that to me, but I was p!ssed. There was lots of us that paid on the gate.

Even if it was that low what would you say is the average? Much higher than that for sure.

Just supposing we get relegated...again, would you still give your right arm to SEE that?
I've stated in other posts that we have a very bad track record against lower league clubs in friendlies and cup comps.
Please spare me the "Cup comps and friendlies don't count". We took a lesson in football from Bury and Morecambe(Both of which I travelled to)
The only game I didn't make was (Believe it or not...Birmingham away) It doesn't matter to me that posters think how much better than the div 1 teams we are. That will be determined, on the pitch over 90+ minutes.
What DOES matter to me is if SISU start treating us likes human beings, and not mushrooms(Keep us in the dark and feed us s**t.
They need to commit to CCFC, in ways that matter. firstly and foremostly.......On the pitch!!!

So would all sky blue fans but unless things change in the ownership AND manager we will end up just the same as this year, playing piss poor football and not being able to hit the side of a barn with this lot of players. Hell we can,t even score pens.

And Andy Thorn's delusions have started already for next season as Cody M is going to be the top goal scorer of D3.:facepalm:

Yes I was there to see us relegated! Your missing my point or ignoring it?!
I'm saying that surely any Cov fan would go if for arguements sake we needed to win our last home game to go up automatically. I do t believe anybody would be that stupid and stubborn to miss that.

This thread was not intend to be a attack on the fans, who not will come to any home game. I just wanted to ask ppl to come anyway, ppl here on this forum are Sky Blues fans all the way, i just dont understand why you would miss any games, even if SISU still is there. The team needs all the help it can get, i understand if ppl cant buy seasontickets because they dont have the money for it.

But why stay away really? Because SISU is there, we are all mad og sadly over this, but the players still need help, and what kind of players would play for an empty stadium?

When it comes to "Missing the point or ignoring it"
I have done neither, I've simply stated facts...I never asked you if you were there when we were relegated.
It seems to me that YOU are the one who is missing the point or ignoring it!
What right have you got to tell me surely any "Cov fan would go" You are not me, and contrary to popular belief, there are a hell of a lot of fans who think how I do.
Skybluehugh....has posted after I did, saying almost everything I did....But I see no reply to his post!
All I ask is, please respect my views as I respect all other posters views, and DON'T assume what I should, or shouldn't do.

That "Some people" meaning me?
I have my opinion on the subject of SISU. I have NEVER told anyone NOT to go to the Ricoh to watch the "City"
I pick which games to watch, not you! I am, and always have been a "Man of principal", and unless SISU dramatically change,ie= Support the team where it counts(Invest in players, of which should be good enough, and to make a decent sized squad) I will not be going to the Ricoh. Not BULLSHIT!!!...FACT!!!

I'm sorry I don't respect your views tho. I'm just struggling to understand how you can just stop doing something you love because you don't agree with how the club is being run! No matter what you say, you are in the minority and by doing this you are achieving nothing except cutting your nose off to spite your face if we do well. My point is how could any supporter not go and support the good times (if we have any) when we have witnessed so much crap?

Ah so you've gone from not going while Sisu are here because you won't line their pockets, to , you will go if they build a decent enough squad? Haha how funny

No disrespect to you Johnrambo, but the way I look at things is this, SISU have all but killed this football club, and are wanting us to pay MORE money to them, for the priviledge of doing it one final time. In my case, "It ain't gonna happen"
It's not that I can't afford a season ticket, I just refuse to give SISU any more money to line their pockets with. All posters are within their rights to voice their opinions on this forum, and I respect this., but I WILL NOT be told what I should, and should not do regarding my support for CCFC.
I think I can safely say I spend more money than 90% of Coventry fans, when I travel to "Away games"
What is a "Local Derby" for most fans lets say...Leicester, is a 7 hours round trip for me!
Morecambe was a 12 hours round trip, so I don't need to prove my love for CCFC. whether it be monetary or emotionally.

I think you know full well what I mean. I will NOT go to the Ricoh if SISU do Fook all about the present situation, and as yet, they have done FOOK ALL!!! For me to go back to the Ricoh is going to take a hell of a lot positive work from SISU to entice me back.
I'm willing to give anyone a second chance to prove themselves, but prove themselves first before anything else. In other words Get this Club back where it deserves to be, without any bullshit promises that they have no intentions of keeping.
5 years of total BOLLOCKS is what we've had from them, and I won't take their shit any more.

I do understand that some ppl wont get seasontickets, and im not saying that ppl that not getting seasontickets or have is better fans or real fans, my wish for this thread was just to get more ppl in the stadium and not saying you and you are not real fans because you wont! OFC ppl are real fans even if they wont come the whole season.

torchomatic, Good for you, I salute your intentions. Only, please don't patronize me!
Start of last season, average home attendance was...what....18-20k ? What did it finish up as?....8-10k MAX!!!
Season ticket holders 8,500, give or take a couple of hundred ?
How many STH will there be THIS season? seeing as any that have been renewed have been Mortgaged!....Meaning anyone who wants a ST will have to pay LAST seasons prices(Not going to lower them are they, even for a lower league game)
Anyway, I haven't come on to the forums to argue......I could patronize a lot of you ST holders by saying "Some people are easily pleased", but I am TRULY not like that. We all wish only the best for CCFC. So please, lets keep all posts mutually respectful.;)

torchomatic

Wasn't trying to patronize you, apologies if I did so. I was just pointing out that the majority would attend regardless of what league position we were in.

Well, I know ONE season ticket holder who will be there this season. And the one after, etc, etc. I want us to do well, but I'll be there even if we don't. Am I "easily pleased"? I don't think so, just a STH.

We have differing opinions. Fair enough.

Start of season...home crowds of 18-20k
End of season...home crowds of 8-10k max!..........A drop of 50% in crowds..............and I'm in the minority???...possibly in this forum matey.....but the stats for the Arena say different. ok?
