Thanks. I’d hate to just follow the crowd blindly.

I felt it was. So I didn’t support it. You don’t, so you did.

You have a real issue with people not agreeing with you don’t you? Why do you think that is?

Oh, of course, people will disagree with me.

My real problem is with hypocrites really, I mean the son of an ex council leader and Trust leader who was in charge while they were working with Haskell has the fucking cheek to make things up about me having links to SISU and getting free season tickets and all of that shite. It's baffling. You have a meltdown everytime something mentions the Trust or Council, you did the same on the thread where it came out about them courting Wasps years ago.

I understand it, it's human nature but don't try to make shit up or say things that people haven't actually said.

Why do you think somebody might be so eager to make things up? I mean people at the Trust weren't happy I pointed out one of their pals was acting such a dickhead, were they? They didn't like somebody posting about another of their pals was slated for their actions while in charge of a council either.

Im clearly on my own here. But these grounds scream “lower league team” to me. I know it’s all pie and terraces jumpers for goalposts nostalgia that I don’t have, but I like a modern iconic stadium. MK Dons one is great IMO.

Frankly though, I’ll take anything at this point.
I, too, like MK Dons stadium.

tbf, the outrage about the latter would hold far more weight without recourse to the former. You can't choose your relatives and all that.

Personally, when he's not off on one (like parts of this thread ;)) I actually think shmmeee offers an interesting perspective on things, and one that's sometimes badly needed, too. Shame about a username that's unspellable, mind you.

The sad thing around here is when it gets personal (from any position) really. Even the most snide person in the world can still come up with an argument and position that has merit.

Although I do reckon we badly need a poodle emoji around these parts, just to make it full-on mental...

Why do I keep coming back to this thread? It's like a disease as much of it bores me but I can't help myself! Needs Hill83 throwing a few more funnies in to at least make it palatable.

Easy.

I just take the personal insults as a win TBH. When I ask a question and get back a “yer da” I chalk it up as a win. Plus I get lots of practice at being a snarky c**t to people in threads like this guilt free because they always start it (apologies to those like CVD who get caught in the crossfire sometimes).

My favourites are the “your contacts” accusations. Seriously, I wish I had the social life some on here think I’ve got.

I must have seen this posted no less than 20 times on this thread.
You need to let it go mate. I think we've all gathered you didn't receive any free tickets.

Don't get me wrong, I can go on another thread and talk to him and get on ;)

It's when he goes off on particular things, makes things up, bangs on about things that haven't been said etc. It is usually on particular threads as said. You can't choose your relatives but let's not pretend it's not related to how views are formed etc.

I am sure if Onye was my dad then it would become relevant (mainly because how I am pasty and white but that's beside the point). Even things that are made up along those lines are pushed ;)

The view is there’s maybe 20 people on here and they’re all up Sisus arse and irrationally hate Wasps and the council. The two main people have spent years trolling councillors and the Trust on Twitter and generally being a dick.
.

What two people?

Good work Mark and Pete!

I have looked over the minutes from the meeting, a couple of questions that as a fan i would recommend asking if the opportunity arises in the future;

In terms of the land that has been identified by SISU that has the potential to deliver a new stadium;

- Does SISU have a timeframe in which to purchase the land, which has been identified as the preferred option?
- If so, can they give the fans an indication as to the timescale?

Joy and Dave have suggested that the timescale to build a new stadium would be five years, based on the desire a short term deal to return to the Ricoh.

- How far have the Club pursued their preferred site? Are they at a stage where an offer has been submitted?
- Will the fans be consulted on the development of the new stadium?

In terms of the Ricoh Arena;

- Would a joint venture with the Wasps Group be considered at this stage, given the history between both parties?

In terms of next season;

- The Club has indicated that they would of preferred to put Season Tickets on sale for 20/21 in March. Is their a deadline that the Club have set themselves for resolving the stadium situation for next season?

- If so, can the Club give the fans an indication as to when this is, as doing so would also give an estimated date as to when Season Tickets will go on sale.

I may think of more, brains a bit fried at the moment.

If these questions have been answered and I’ve missed the answers, apologies.

Oh.....isn't it ? Jumpers for goalposts ? Marvellous. Small boys in the park , isn't it ? Terry Gibson's goals against Liverpool ,? The nutmet, the shimmy , pies with dad and Mick Quinn at half time ? Pies with Mick Quinn at full time . Marvellous .

I think pressing Wasps on the indemnity issue is the right thing. Council should be footing that bill. In the interest of balance, can we press SISU on the new stadium?

It doesn't (or shouldn't) take six years to identify a site and tell us about it. Transparency from them seems a fair ask, especially if they want to convince folks that it's not just bullsh*t brinksmanship.

P.S. I've not read beyond the first page or two of the thread so if this has been thrown around already, soz!

And this is why this place is so important. Nick and Mark don't ban, moderate, or delete posts. We might all not agree with each other, but everyone who wants to voice their thoughts are able.
And thats why the council nuts hate it. They could come in here and have a go at whoever they want as much as they want but they’d get called out on their inaccuracies.

And they they can't create multiple accounts to agree with themselves like social media.

Nick, I’ve seen one or two veiled comments on here suggesting shmmeee said you had got free season tickets from Sisu !!!

this is disgraceful. Can you tell us a bit more about it? When was it? Did he apologise? I think we need to hear more about this.... :eek:

I think we have the nucleus here of a very important group of fans. The Facebook/ trust crew have to be tackled somehow even if it’s just to combat the misinformation and garbage they come out with. Their reaction alone to anything positive done here is enough to chip away at their credibility.

So it appears I’m now not able to get in touch with Nick Eastwood. I’m sorry. I so hope that this can all be resolved sooner rather than later so Ccfc can start to sell season tickets for next season at the Ricoh. Mark and I are hopeful of meeting him face to face and getting some on the record comments from him. We are aiming to do this before the end of March as if there’s been no progress by then we will be hampering significantly our ability to sell season tickets for next season. Of course any notes from any discussion that can be agreed will be shared on this forum first
