You are actually more likely to get it from touch screens, work hot desks, shopping trollies etc
It's a basketball player that has tested positive. The football team share a training facility so have had to isolate. And La Liga suspended.
What are you gathering on aboutIts official, we are a country run by spineless wimps!
It's not common sense, it's the current medical advise

It's not just what you touch though - this IMO is where much of the misinformation lies. Covid-19 is actually most likely spread through person to person contact where viral particles are spread through coughing, sneezing etc.
The CDC also believes that whilst some coronaviruses can live on surfaces for days, touching a surface where the virus has recently landed is a less common method of transmission than if you were to come into contact with someone infected with Covid-19. This is why stadiums are of particular concern - especially as scientists are arguing that the virus is at its most contagious point when the affected are asymptomatic. Hence why simply being in close proximity to large groups is becoming ill-advised.
At the end of the day you can't actually say you are more likely to catch it from touch screens, hot desks etc. because even the experts aren't sure and information of this ilk seems to be changing daily.
Wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the season was cancelled soon. You can play behind closed doors but the players will also end up catching it.
Then for the fallout of deciding who goes up/down. This could be fun. As long as we go up that is.
No it's medical opinion that open air gatherings are low risk. So stick that up your pipeyou Lego eating mouth breathetIt's not current medical advise that you're more likely to catch coronavirus down your local than at a stadium containing thousands. That's very much your lack of common sense I'm afraid.

I've already paid for my hotel for Blackpool away without the refund option so we'll be going up there game or not. Looks like it's fish and chips and donkey rides but no footie!
Ah yes, I forgot the toilets, hospitality lounges, stadium bars, and boxes are all outside in the open air. I do apologise.
The idiots who are complaining about sporting events being cancelled and being played behind closed doors, are the same idiots that are the reason the government have to put a ban on it.
I'm sure it was McDonald's (?) who have those touchscreens where they nearly all had trace of human excrement on when tested, which is still more appetising than the menu. The one that I've always been paranoid about are the general toilets at work, some students appear to be actual animals at the best of times with the lack of hygiene so I'm walking further just to get my business done safely
Sorry, you might have to provide your rationale on this one since as far as I can see it's the idiots going round like a bunch of private frasers.
You could still be a Sky Blue on tour.I've already paid for my hotel for Blackpool away without the refund option so we'll be going up there game or not. Looks like it's fish and chips and donkey rides but no footie!
Just seen footage of the PSG game against Dortmund. Massive crowd outside the ground, players celebrating with the fans after the gameA quick glance on social media shows a lot of people planning to gather in large groups outside the grounds even if played behind close doors.
Go figure.

You aren't ever going to be able to stop people.

I am only quoting a medical experts remarks today and that it would be not a good idea to
Cancel any events as the risk is virtually nil at the event as it stands but may change in three weeks or so
Because they sit in an office or workplace or use a supermarket or travel by public transport through the day so it ain't going to materially affect their chances of picking up the virus, and they know that unless they are elderly or other susceptible then the worse that's likely to happen is that they get an annoying cough and feel a bit shit.
Cobra meeting at 1.30, should have an update shortly after
It may be a bit of insurance ruse.. max revenue losses.NEWS: Matchday hospitality sold out at all remaining games , except for Wycombe midweek match
Surely an update about this tells us they’re not going to be playing behind closed doors?
Going to have to rush through some laws sharpish then. Imagine sending the army in because some people are outside a football ground singing songs and cheering.Dispersal orders, fines and the army combined would give it a bloody good go.
The way Chinese treat animals is disgusting but I bet you lot have had KFC where the animals don't even get to walk they're so fat in their short lives or battery eggs where the chickens never get to move or foie gras where they force feed an animal until it is ready to burst.
We'd have a leg to stand on about their practices if we weren't still barbaric hypocrites. Theirs is just out in the open instead of hidden in a slaughter house.
Forgot that toilets and bars are also in indoors venues. Oh waitAh yes, I forgot the toilets, hospitality lounges, stadium bars, and boxes are all outside in the open air. I do apologise.
When it comes to animal welfare, we're a long way ahead of the Chinese. There are some questionable practices here, absolutely, although I think KFC have recently moved to notably improve their minimum welfare standards.
I've been to China a number of times. I have walked through these markets - they are pretty horrific. This is the stuff they have out in the open, can you imagine what they do out of the public glare? I once went for a meal there when my food was live and I had to skewer it and boil it alive. It was a backstreet 'hotpot' place, but not of the Betty Turpin variety.
I say this without prejudice, because I have Chinese friends who live there who I speak to daily, some of whom are dog owners who are as appalled by the dog meat festival as we are. But, there is a chilling indifference to the treatment of animals in much of China which is truly shocking.
I'm loving the argument that be ause parts of a football stadium are kn doors outdoor gatherings are as much a risk as indoor gatherings.Forgot that toilets and bars are also in indoors venues. Oh wait

Don’t you think it is simply about being a fan of the club you love. We already have half the fans staying away anyway.A quick glance on social media shows a lot of people planning to gather in large groups outside the grounds even if played behind close doors.
