a strange and morbid thing to say but that’s ‘better’ than I thought (the figures).. it’s pointless looking for trends yet & I would have thought we are heading for 25,000 deaths, below that we’ve either got away lightly or done a great job of stepping up to the challenge, or both.

Where do you find the info on geographical breakdown?

And did anyone else see what’s happening in South Africa? They are going to have massive problems, the townships ignoring all advice and the authorities unable to do anything about it apart from whack people with sticks, they are helpless to get people to stay inside and observe the distancing.

Our work in West Africa is fucked. Our staff are in lockdown because of the virus in the cities and nobody can do anything in the country because of the security situation.

Season to resume in July behind closed doors.....

I've felt tremendous highs and crushing lows over the football but I've never felt how I do at the moment, just numb to it.
We could potentially be denied our first league win in my lifetime, (well I was born in 67 but only just), and it's just not registering on any emotional level, fucking weird.
I'm sure it will be different once definite decisions have been made either way.

Rising yet again then was hoping lower than yesterday as not as many in critical care last night
It's going to rise at this level for a while and it's when it stops doubling every 3 days you need to look at.

Fixating on each days figures isn't going to help.

yeah I know what you mean. All I’m thinking about is my folks & family over there, all in the ‘vulnerable’ group. Over here is a great spot to ride it out, in the country and calm, loads of supplies etc, but if I could I’d be straight on the plane to get over and help... but I can’t even do anything if I did that. I haven’t really even thought about CCFC apart from watching clips on YouTube sometimes to pass the time. But the second something is decided then that’s something to focus on and the passion will come back- and if we do go up it will be a huge emotional release which would be about more than just celebrating a football result.

The UK are saying they will have done very well if they can keep the deaths down below 20,000 here.

Does anyone know the projections for the likes of France and Germany and Spain and Italy etc?

you've got bigger priorities than football at the minute mate, same as all of us so you're spot on with what you say.
Been so far away from your family probably adds an extra layer of anxiety.
When we start worrying about football again it means everything else is moving in the right direction so fingers crossed it sooner rather than later.

April 68 here. First league win? Not even finished in the top 5. So not even come close. Was waiting for something to go wrong. But didn't even consider this.

Will still settle for 2nd although Division 3 champions would be much better.

Been told the schools to open over Easter and my holiday is cancelled. FFS only 6 kids in out of 200 and were open. If I win the lotto tonight I’m buying Matesx a bottle of John Powers, Nick a new Audi and I’m going to spend it on women and drink and waste the rest! Oh and put a few quid Robins way to buy who he likes with a sell on clause.
Keep safe everyone 8 nights without going to the boozer first time more than a week in 30 years of going every night God it’s a shock but worth it to keep us all safe.
