True- I was always skiving to get to HR so I never really got into it, still don't get all the rules now
Actually despite being a rugger nutter good old Bob Coward used to make sure we had time to get to HR on Saturdays and even arranged games for Friday afternoons so we could go to some away games.
As for the rules it’s almost a different game nowadays with its rule changes.

The police will be out in force to clamp down on the BBQ’ers I can see some problems with social unrest in the maggotville places with booze involved

Another update from my mate at UHCW and daughters mum at George elliot.

For want of a better description. Shits now hitting the fan in regards too patients. Starting to fill quicker. Daughter now going to be with me for the foreseeable as her mum now been reassigned to deal face to face with Covid patients.

240 ventilators awaiting at UHCW in ITU but hoping that capacity wont be breached. 70% of ambulances are bringing in Covid patients at thr mo.

These next 3 weeks are going to be horrible. Ive deleted Facebook etc and will avoid what news i can because i doubt i can handle the worry as a father.

Keep safe all

Not sure how they will manage to even keep people in tbh mate they haven’t got the man power

There aren’t anything like as many people willing to risk prison as people think. Just like there weren’t riots when we didn’t Brexit on time. Generally British people bitch and moan but don’t do anything. They aren’t enforcing at all at the minute and guidelines are vague. Once that changes and a few thousand people get fines for stuff that’s not clearly outside the law, people will do the right thing.

Yeah, you're probably right about that. Birmingham / Black Country is a real hotspot so suspect there will be major capacity problems there already.

Can't see where they'd get 240 ventilators in? Are there unused wards in that building?

A few wards have been repurposed. My friend works on the 3rd floor at UHCW and they've converted 2 wards there purely for Covid patients.

It seems, and i dont want to curse anything, that UHCW have prepared very well, as such, G.E

They have got the bloody army, over 20000 of them. Not a lot been said exactly where they are apart from building that hospital
Don't know how much contribution has been made there

Looks likely the bulk of the work has been carried out by exhibition contractors .
Most likely logistical ,but these companies are truly well versed in all of these aspects And working to tight timelines .

The company I work for might be getting some work out of the Manchester temporary hospital. The Manchester one is not for Covid patients though, it's for displaced patients who have made way for Covid ones. Some of my team does a lot of the capital expenditure and hospital fit out work.

Bats can be viral hosts - this was a bat infecting a pangolin. Ebola was caused by cross species mutation. We’ve eaten pigs for years - Swine flu - clue in the name

Part of the irony of this is that the govt may actually keep it's pledge on new hospitals being built!

And as of now I say we fuck off Carillion and all those other firms that tender for these projects and end up being massively over budget and taking ages and just give all construction contacts to the Royal Engineers.

It is never going to happen in a million years, the government has lost the skill base after years of using these big contractors

There seem to be lots of companies coming out of the woodwork claiming to have test kits available, some at surprisingly low prices, but we do have to know if they work before putting them to use. For all I know most may be genuine but some could be fake.
Surely they won't be fake if they're on the internet
