Christ are you just being intentionally thick now? Tony is pretty clearly talking about the hand-shaking quote yet you keep ignoring it because you know you're wrong and you're unable to admit it.

Even isn confirmed there was t any hand shaking it as a throwaway comment and a few days before macron was seen hugging tbd Italian Pm

oddly he hasn’t face the guillotine so two myths gone and now it’s. Come t on hand shaking - wow hang him .

hahahahahahahah you're a parody, here we are with the Macron shite again.

It's not a throwaway comment. It was in a press briefing about the virus in which the official advice given was to not engage in stuff like hand shaking as it helps spread the virus. The Prime Minister banging on about how he's still doing it trivializes the issue and downplays the need for the general public to take the advice seriously.

Christ, you're either such a Tory bootlicker that you refuse to admit that they've ever done anything wrong or you're just intensely thick. It's a real toss up between the two.

So after two days the case for the prosecution is one comment in one press conference

Amazing

It must be quite humbling for you to realise that you're just like the rest of us. It made me smile, anyway. My work is done.
Strange person you are. I cant access the screen that allows punctuation other than a full stop. Hope that clears up any confusion.

Some right dickheads on here. People questioning whether it was real or fabricated that Boris had coronavirus and the bloke ends up in intensive care. Whatever way you spin it you need to take a hard look at yourselves and should be ashamed of that.

All banding together trying to jump on one person for something completely irrelevant is a sad straw man defense and isn't fooling anyone. Not sure if it's just ego so refuse to admit wrong, or blind hatred of the conservative party, but my oh my you're doing a great job of making yourselves look like a bunch of cunts.

It's as if some of you are hoping the situation gets worse just to serve your political narratives, which is a sad, sad, bitter place to be and I hope for your own sanity you get out of that zone sooner rather than later.

Please point out more that one post since Johnson was admitted to hospital that has said he is faking it. Also, please point out all of these mythical posters who are all claiming it's a big hoax.

Ironically you're doing what you're supposedly preaching against and making up a strawman to hammer your political opponents because they aren't getting in line with your views.

And how the fuck he comes to the conclusion that people hope the situation worsens to suit their political agenda is beyond me.
What agenda would be furthered in that scenario? Madness.

Just seen this post going round on Facebook.

It's a very heartfelt and well written post from someone who tragically lost their brother to Corona.

He echoes what all of the 'anti-Boris' brigade on here have been saying, but puts it more eloquently than any of us have managed.

It's worth a read for those on both sides of the fence:

Harry Paterson
18 hrs ·
Boris Johnson.

A man who has lived his entire life recklessly, selfishly, irresponsibly; without any regard for the consequences. Because he's never needed to. His enormous privilege has protected him from any repercussions.

He is a proven pathological liar, swaggering through the years with no empathy or concern for anyone but himself. Indeed, recently bragging about shaking hands with Corona virus patients. As if it was just another laugh; a jape; just another moment in a life less honourable.

There is a grim irony to him finally, in this manner, being confronted by the consequences of his behaviour. Even he can't lie & bluster his way out of this mess.

One can only hope that the Prime Minister, as he languishes in intensive care, courtesy of the NHS that he and his party have done so much to destroy, deeply regrets the cheering & jeering doled out to nurses by he and his colleagues; when they voted down a payrise for those heroes. If he's lucky he'll now be finding out exactly how valuable these people are.

My brother, sadly, wasn't lucky.
Jas, 54, died of Covid-19 in Nottingham's Queens Medical Centre a week last Saturday night. Unlike the Prime Minister there was no ventilator for Jas.
'Operation: Last Gasp', right, Prime Minister?

I then stood on an empty street, shouting to be heard over the wind, no privacy, no dignity, to tell an old man on a doorstep his child had died. The most indescribably awful duty I've ever had to carry out.

There will, of course, be those idiots, those hypocrites, those bootlickers, who will condemn me for 'politicising' both my own loss & Boris Johnson's condition. They can't grasp that politicians making political decisions and political choices impact people's lives. And sometimes end them. As Jas found out.

Do I wish Johnson dead? No. Do I wish dead the selfish, the greedy and the stupid who voted for him and still, even now, support him? Those who were perfectly happy to ignore the systematic destruction of the NHS while they were all right Jack? Again, no.

My sympathy, however, remains with the terrified & heartbroken victims of this crisis. The appalling & callous mishandling of which is unavoidably the responsibility of Boris Johnson.

It would be nice to think that lessons will be learned; that, individually and collectively, we will discover our self-respect and understand that governments only ever treat us the way we allow; that, when this is over, an enormous reorganisation of the nation’s priorities will be undertaken, by both the politicians and the electorate; that, at last, people will concern themselves with the value of others and much less with the cost of things.

If Boris Johnson, in any way, might be that catalyst then he will have done at least one noble thing in his life.

My breath, however, remains unheld.

Just to get back to football for a minute despite Andy Turner tweeting "Worrying news on EFL season" and the Telegraph headline saying the season may not be completed the actual quote from Greg Clarke is "We are committed to finishing the professional football season as this resolves the issues of promotion and relegation together with title winners on merit."

The only mention of not finishing the season is that human life is a higher priority than football and they will do as directed by the government.

Swerved this thread for a couple of days. Wish I'd left it that way. It's morphed into a shite version of the brexit thread.

Things look promising in Italy, hopefully we can follow in their footsteps, sooner rather than later.

No it isn’t, it indicates a profound distaste for any opinions that don’t conform with your own.
Showing Definite shades of Narcissism ;)

Fair assessment. The only problem is that the forum becomes one big echo chamber of people who don’t really want to consider others views. This forum has changed over the past few months. It Suffers psychosis occasionally.

That’s the important one to look at mate and the admissions to intensive care.

Spot on sick boy. I haven’t seen the actual ICU numbers but I believe we remain under the capacity limits which is essential. Hoping the numbers might be on the dataset slides

Dom - Unfortunately I’m not sure todays data is complete regarding the tests and therefore confirmed numbers (excludes Leeds and Manchester). Assuming they aren’t unusually high the number it is still positive though as it’s not showing a significant jump
