Right the rest I'm going to say is hearsay as every work place has it's rumours and talk.

However what I'm hearing is that, bar Wolverhampton, the Midlands is looking OK and they're not even sure they will need the hospital at the NEC. There are spare beds in ICU pretty much across the Midlands and that they feel that they won't get overrun.

Let's get this right, many more people are going to die, but at least if you do need to be hospitalised then you'll have a chance.

This is just talk but my Missus came home tonight with less weight on her shoulders so I'll take that.

Band H, I used to work at the Valuation office, that's the highest band and there are only a tiny percentage of Band H houses in the whole country. It must be worth in the millions.
Isn't it amazing that you jump to the defence of G against me as usual and use his twisted words and not the words I have used.

In fact no it isn't amazing. It happens all the time.

So just in case you had word failure yet again..... we bought two semi detached houses. They are joined at the kitchen but separate everywhere else. Two gas meters. Two electric meters. Two staircases. They are both band D. Two houses that are band D are the same as a band H. And as you know we have a big family.

Are you going to deny this in your defence of G? Of course you are. You always do. And you always have done since you had a right go at me since proving you wrong at a Bradford away game years ago. Remember? Of course you do. You knew what happened as you was at the game.....even though it happened right in front of me. Then the video came out proving you wrong. You have had a personal vendetta ever since. It is pathetic.

No personal vendetta you say? Shall we go back to the last time other than yesterday that I posted on here? Amazingly you did exactly the same. Well no it isn't amazing. It is pathetic. And all from a grudge from a game that happened years ago.

Not sure if it has been mentioned by someone else, but, though I wish Boris Johnson a speedy recovery and would never wish this horrible virus upon him, or anyone else, I am got a bit pee'd off by a succession of government ministers making comments such as 'He will survive this, he is a fighter.' 'He is a strong character I am sure he will be fine' etc.

Been loads of them. While I know they don't mean any harm in such comments, I do find it rather disrespectful to all those poor souls who have died.

Were none of those strong or fighters?

It was just the constant stream of comments and I can only imagine how loved ones of those who have died must have felt.

Wish him a speedy recovery by all means, sure, but I don't like all the 'he will recover because he is strong' stuff.

I fully agree.

There is much more than the virus going on. The virus lockdown has made major problems elsewhere. And all we hear is Boris is this and Boris is that.

Yeah forget those with mental health issues. Boris is strong. It is as though he is the only person who matters.

I wish him a speedy recovery. But he is still a twat. Is he still keeping the limit to talks on Brexit negotiations without any extension? Or is he just going to be pig headed. Let me think......

Agreed, and exactly why the 'clap for Boris' idea was very insensitive in my opinion. Why clap for just one person and not for the thousands of people that are seriously ill with it?

Some people seem to be equating his contracting of this virus (quite possibly because he didn't practice his own government's advice) with a wartime leader leading his troops out the trenches and into battle, as if contracting and (hopefully) beating it makes him the best PM of all time. Its a bit mawkish.

Although you could argue what's better?

Talking about the few girls you can shag or the large list you will never shag.

There wasn’t even enough for a first year let alone a first term. I’d argue running out of birds to shag and resorting to inanimate objects and animals is worse than not getting through your list.

The other thing peeing me off is the weekly NHS clap by people who are not helping the situation much at all.

Across the road, there is a family of three. However, over the past week or so, lots of people have been in and out the house. Woman with a child, daughter's boyfriend, another bloke (guessing may be the girl's dad), the girl's boyfriend, the son who doesn't live at home.

Been several people in and out and the son is full on gobbing on the pavement too.

Guess who in our street was clapping the loudest last night and cheering and banging saucepans with spoons?

Yup.

Cheering the NHS whilst igoring the advice, which could result in the loss of lives and more exposure by NHS staff trying to treat this thing.

Grrrr

Are you saying that supporting the NHS isn't supposed to be about giving them more customers?

Look on the bright side. It gives them something to congratulate each other on Farcebook.

Excellent article here, the gist of which is basically 'why can't we hold the government to account, just because we're in a crisis?'

A common response from Johnson fans to any criticism is that he's doing his best in difficult times, or now is not the time for criticism. Surely it's exactly the time?

Anyway I think it's a good article and would be keen to hear what the likes of Dom think of it

Mark Steel: At this point, we might as well use a lottery draw for updates on coronavirus figures

Once again trying to point score, I think it’s pretty low in all honesty

Wouldn't call it excellent. Good points raised. But more of a rant than anything.

Saw a graph earlier on which countries locked down when. We were the same time as Germany. They had cases before us. But they were also better prepared. Italy locked down well before anyone else.

So you didn't read it then?

When will you understand that criticising the government is not point scoring for the sake of it, particularly when the government's actions have a direct impact on people living or dying.

Please read the article.

Yes you are right, and that’s no slight on Boris Johnson. I have thought the same, I’d be pretty devastated with these insinuations that he is somehow a better personality than someone I knew who passed away. It’s shit actually.

As with all one-offs that are made into a ‘thing’, the clap is now cheesy and patronising. You can’t repeat lightening in a bottle.

I'm told by sources Tom the racist is having a hissy fit.

Such a sad little man. Flung out the racist accusation, wasn't backed up even by others who tend to throw that out way to easily. Got caught out. Chickened out of apologising. Blocked.

Politics completely aside, anyone backing David is not on the side of good, 100% the biggest tosser on this forum.

It is all a bit silly, seems like a competition for social media on who loves the NHS the most.

I haven't seen it as I am out burgling every Thursday because every policeman is outside the hospital.

Ha, you're doing an awful lot of talking to each other, even though you are not talking to each other and both have each other blocked.

This could go on some time.
