In some places it has been working though? It’s all very strange
Maybe because at last count there's 33 mutations of the virus - maybe it is more successful against certain strains.
These mutations are being used as one explanation for differing geographical mortality rates.

Will be racking up likes though

Anybody caught filming a Tiktok in a police or NHS uniform on duty should be fucked off.

Couldn't give a shit if they think it's lifting spirits, you have police saying they are underfunded but can send a helicopter to fly over Walsgrave and loads of officers to clap outside ignoring social distancing. It's purely attention-seeking for likes off the back of the awful situation.

Probably the same cunts who took all the food and will hammer the benefits for the NHS staff who really are working hard.

Beyond whatever the corporate scheming is, some people doing a really shit job at the moment get a bit of a treat (as much as Domino's can be). Though would be nice if others were recognised also

I agree entirely. But I can't help think Dominos are doing this more for the PR than the gesture.

Ignore the hoax stuff, I am not buying that but watch this video

How long did they spend practising their dance on expensive equipment?

What about this PPE that is urgently needed? Where are all the patients?

Bet you're a right laugh at parties.

I'd find that a bit sad even without the situation we are in to be honest. Hardly demonstrating NHS staff exhausted and rushed off their feet and dead bodies all over the place is it?

Any grown adult filming dance routines for Tiktok doesn't sit right at the best of times. I dread to think I'd be at a party where somebody gets their phone out and says "Lets film a Tiktok". I would be leaving sharpish.

The thing is, in a wider sense, nobody who's overworked and underpaid should be expected to continue to grind, with no light relief. Their wellbeing is as important as anybody's and, arguably more.

It's blindingly obvious that that's not the scene in hospitals around the country 24/7.

What are they supposed to do after an arduous shift? Trudge home before eating a pan of cold gruel in darkness?

Only one of those is a UK hospital, no idea when it was filmed and not really sure what the relevance is.

You don't even know what ward they are on. There is PPE and there is PPE, the masks and gowns they're wearing here are not necessarily the same ones being discussed as there being a shortfall of.

Wouldn't it have been filmed within the pandemic as they don't usually wear masks and gloves all of the time?

Another thing that's not mentioned is are they releasing death numbers from Cancer etc? How down are deaths from other causes to this time last year for example?

Report on Reuters from China, that people who have recovered from the virus are still showing as being infected after tests. I'm not sure if this is a way in which they could upwardly massage their reported numbers, being cynical, if not is is potentially catastrophic.

Pretty sure after an arduous shift surrounded by death they wouldn't want to rehearse a dance routine for Tiktok.

"Has yours died yet? Shall we meet up in the canteen to perfect our moves at 8?"

The thing is, people who are confirmed to have had it are being released from hospital.

Do they test them before they go to see if it still shows up or just tell them to go home for a bit? How will they know when they can go for the shop for example?

On the ICU they pretty much do, certainly did when dealing with my sister. (I had to wear mask, glove and apron as a visitor).

Otherwise, they wear both where appropriate to do at any time, the NHS uses 1bn pairs of gloves a year. It isn't just something they use in pandemics.

Well yeah, they will obviously always need gloves.

This brings to the other point, why aren't scrubs and everything re-usable? Obviously gloves won't be and the cheap masks.

So pissed off with people taking advantage of the gold nature (naïveté) of people I know. Sister on critical care working 12 hours without a break. Why not ensure legal minimums are adhered to? Why is it left to the nursing staff to ask? Brother agency care nurse gone back with flu symptoms as he’s isolated for 7 days and there’s no testing available. Other sister medical secretary expected to work at hospital and social distancing not possible. Oh well we can all applaud them tomorrow tonight

Exactly, a clap with a Police Helicopter and a tiktok dance won't fix that.

Anyone who gets on their high horses over this is a complete knob jockey oxygen thief.
Personally I’m glad that medical professionals who have to decide who’s ventilator to turn off, sleep in cars because they’re scared to go home and give this to their family, work long hours for shit pay, been shat on by the government for a decade have 5 minutes minutes to distract themselves from the horrible existence they’re living at the moment.

They’re on the frontline and dealing with things no one should need too. What next? Label soldiers in WW1 trenches cowards for having a game of football on Christmas Day. Some people need to take all this spare time they have on their hands to take a long hard look at themselves.

Do you think any of the people in those videos have just made those decisions? They don't really look like consultants and doctors but more like gimps fucking about. They want to go viral and get Piers Morgan bigging them up.

Of course there are NHS staff working all hours of the day to the point of exhaustion. The poor woman who couldn't get any food as an example as well and the people going home with their faces covered in sores from wearing masks etc. Pretty sure they weren't interested in learning a dance routine.

Same with the police rocking up to Walsgrave and flying helicopters over, they say they are overworked even without the pandemic but have time to do shit like that.

I am working harder than I would be in school because of kids who can’t be arsed to do work and because they will find any excuse to say the instructions were too difficult. I have also been asked to run online clubs and hold small group meetings with my tutor group and write summer exams.

I’m going insane between that and the missus doing the same so no time for Instatwat

Probably because they still have viral particles but at levels low enough to not have symptoms

How would I know? I wouldn’t, same as you. Gimps? I guess you would know assuming that you have a mirror in your house.

How do you know they weren’t interested in learning a dance routine. The one thing that they’ll all have in common is needing a distraction to maintain their sanity, if they choose that distraction to be learning a dance routine so what. Go and have a think to yourself.
