If the EFL were to void the leagues where would fans stand on bringing a collective action against them, on the basis that season tickets were purchased for a complete season with positive and negative outcomes for teams at the top and bottom. I wouldn't want a refund from the club but i would be mightily pissed off if I'd spent money for a sham season, particularly with it being 75% done.
All sorts of legal action would start up. For example only needs one lawyer to agree take on all season ticket holders across the league and take a small percentage of any win. You haven't got what you paid for, simple as that.If all the clubs and fans pitched in we could assemble the mother of all legal suits
Same with sponsors, advertisers, TV contracts and pretty much every revenue stream coming into the league and clubs.
Just can't see it happening. If the remaining games get cancelled they will have to put something in place to finalise positions and promotion / relegation so they can then claim the season has been completed.
