To an extent yes, but for many what they consider common sense may not be an option open to them.

What if you think your workplace is unsafe and it's common sense to stay away, but they are insisting you have to come back into work or get fired? Some people don't have the option to just say "I'll just leave" because they can't afford to without another job lined up. And those may be hard to come by in the coming months so they're stuck.

The government sets the playing field and the rules that people and businesses operate by. We don’t live by a code of honour we live by a rule of law. If it’s legal it’s OK ultimately.

I am not blaming them but while kids leave school not being able to read , write or count at 18 or whatever it is now they have to cover themselves from pure stupidity , which will unfortunately by next Tuesday manifest itself in rising numbers of cases

Who sets the laws about what employers can and can't do? Who has systematically removed/undermined the ability of trade unions and individuals to protect themselves from unscrupulous employers? Who has allowed there to be the inequality in society that makes it such that there is such a discrepancy in power that leaves people with such little option? And this is not just the Tories.

###ing embarrassing, but hardly surprising. Norwich not wanting relegation from PL if Championship is not completed. Every club screaming foul if any scenario doesn't suit them. That said, so will I be if they don't promote us. Just glad that it's Leeds who are top of The Championship, and not a club with the stature of e.g. Bournemouth, Burton etc (no disrespect). Will make it a lot more diificult for promotion to be voided imho.

If we aren’t promoted we have every right to call foul. That said, I can’t see it happening, pretty much every logical scenario has us promoted. It sounds very doubtful they’ll null and void the season, and the halfway point thing is the opinion of absolute plebs! We’ll be fine.

You're right, looking for any excuse. First it's void the season entirely. Then it's we'll run with more teams, just no relegation. Then it's no neutral grounds...er unless they take relegation off the table. Now it's this lame excuse.

Tell you what then Mr Webber, make it the same as the EFL - don't play your games and get relegated anyway...but hand Sky back some of the TV money.

Of course you are right about Norwich's self interest. Everyone seems so confident on here that we will be named Champions and promoted if as looks likely from all the soundbites, that the season is cancelled. This confidence makes me slightly uncomfortable though, and a swift look through other League 1 message boards doesn't indicate the same belief in that outcome that we have. I just hope SISU are not being equally complacent, and are actively begging/ bullying and cajoling others to do what is necessary to get our way. If there is 'any' chance of a null and void season I would still rather we push to complete it, rather than chance the vagaries of others self interest.

IMO voiding the season is where the threat of legal action becomes more likely. Not necessarily from the clubs themselves but from everyone else. Everything has being sold based on competitive games as part of league competition. If you void that you open yourself up to the possibility of everyone coming for their money back, TV, sponsers, advertisers, even fans who have purchased tickets.

For example you only need a handful of fans at each club to demand their season ticket money back to make it worthwhile a lawyer picking up the case. Wouldn't even need to charge, just take a small percentage of the money coming back. Not going to be a good look for clubs and the league to be going to battle with fans. Look how people reacted when it was one less game on their season ticket, no way there wouldn't be people demanding a refund.

So on the basis that voiding opens a can of worms they have to somehow finish the competition. Hard to thing of a method they could use to do that where we don't become champions.

That said I've supported us long enough that it will come as no surprise if we somehow get screwed over.

I listened to Chris Sutton on this subject and I thought his take on it was great.I do wish the broadcasters would put pressure on the E P L regarding the Newcastle take over.How can they sanction a deal led by a guy with blood on his hands?
