Tell you what, you don't have to be lefty to be angered at racism, but if being called lefty is used in a form that points to you treating people fairly and aren't a bigoted c**t, bring it on.

Did you get enraged when those 2 black blokes nearly took Rigby's head off in London? No you probably didn't . Hes white so leftie cunts like you dont give a fuck. This happened 4k miles away. Fuck off with your faux anger
You’re a fucking embarrassment. That comment is so absurdly out of touch it would be like me saying you celebrated Jo Cox being murdered by a far-right nutter.

There’s no helping sad people like you.

George Floyd? That’s literally horse shit. You need to lay off Facebook.

it’s factually accurate I believe but not relevant to the police incident as they would not have been aware and even if they had should not have acted in that way as he was clearly offering no threat and in distress

It’s not though. According to court records he was arrested for armed robbery of a house and went to prison for 5 years in early 2000’s - however you are right it’s utterly irrelevant to what happened, just a tool to discredit him further. His crime on the day of his death was trying to spend a counterfeit note.

Nobody is saying he deserved to die ffs. But you lot making out he's some kind of saint is cringeworthy. 44 murders in a 100?

What are you taking about??

You don’t treat people fairly? - let’s see just a single shred of evidence to back this bullshit up.... just one.

You all jump on the bandwagon cos he was black. Where's all the protests from you lot for the kids who were blown to bits in Manchester? Where was your anger for rigby? Where was your anger for the young girl in Bolton who was stabbed in the neck by a migrant and died? Fucking nowhere. You lot are as false as fuck.

The 2 points are completely unconnected.
Yes I know but you go on about black people like they're saints. Disproportionate blah blah. 44 murders is disproportionate for 13% of the population dont you think? Goes against everything you stand for though doesnt it the truth.

That’s bollocks. People were outraged about every single one of these horrific acts you’ve mentioned. People had to be brought to justice for them (and in most cases were where they were still alive)

Has it ever occurred to you that people just want the same thing to happen to his killers, and for every person treated in that way?

Tony, black people are far more likely to be arrested: Arrests

View attachment 15298
With these stats, the death rate in custody being 8% is actually fewer than you'd expect.

So the question is not 'Who died in police custody' but rather 'why are black people more likely to be arrested?'

Reg, there's not enough information in that paper, but it states that 45% were ill upon arrest from drugs; drink or car accidents etc. and the data include death on the way to hospital. So we're down to circa 8 a year - surely small enough for that to just be a natural rate (heart attack etc.) and nothing to do with harm in a cell? Of course, if there is either self-harm or brutality from the police that must be addressed - but the stats suggest that it's very unlikely.

“So the question is why are black people more likely to be arrested”

Are you serious?

No it’s the over simplification of statistics to make a political point which is very much the norm across the political spectrum

Lee Rigby’s family throughout have acted with such class. Not once do I recall them rising or agreeing to/with the right wing extremists who have tried to take ownership of Lee Rigby’s murder and tried to politicise it. From the unofficial memorial that they tried make a song and dance about to this. Some right wing elements have done nothing but disrespect Lee Rigby’s memory and the wishes of those closest to him. Shameful.

I lived a few streets away from where Lee Rigby was murdered at the time. The whole area was very sombre for a while and the whole community completely came together in condemnation until I think the Sunday 4 days later when the EDL turned up, had a march and smashed up the square. The racists fuckwits have never had a problem with using him to further their own agenda.

Loads of people in Bristol heading to a BLM demonstration today.

When you have the PM talking about watermelon smiles along with other various racist comments it doesn’t exactly help, not does the fact that nobody who voted for him will ever condemn those views, thus legitimising them.

I think the Rigby’s saw past the colour of his murderers skin, and saw their barbaric ‘motives’ instead.

It’s an unworthy, cheap argument, as much as it’s close to everyone’s heart - despite what Coventrian thinks.

And they won’t do it now either, they’ll deflect onto something else or just ignore. When you ignore and/or excuse openly racist comments like that because the person saying them is on ‘your team’ then yep, you are part of the problem. I see Farage is on LBC this morning giving a few ‘home truths’ about the BLM movement as well, that will sure calm things down won’t it.

Was the anniversary of the Normandy Landings yesterday, no doubt there was disgust in some quarters that we commemorated those bloody Antifa causing trouble again.

5) has fk all to do with racist American police or the death of George Floyd
6) the guy was killed in the street like an animal by a racist fk, so can everyone please stoo saying leftie snowflake and right-wing bigot to score cheap points as uk politics have fk all to do with this.
