Oh dear.

This company don't even make the right type of satellites apparently.

'We've bought the wrong satellites': UK tech gamble baffles experts

They fail to understand that in the mumbo-jumbo non-sequitur world that is the child-genius Dominic Cummings, this can be made to work - it just requires creativity and the removal of everybody who stands in the way of a stupid idea,

And they can always strap a couple of kids to it and take it for a test drive first.

I like how they had to file for bankruptcy in the US as they couldn't secure funding so then managed to con the UK government.
Would it surprise anyone if it turns out one of the investors that’s set to lose out if they go bump ends up being a Tory Party donor or the family of a Tory Party MP or the hedge fund of a Tory MP?

We'll all assume that was simply a rhetorical question.

Good to see Rachel reeves believing that we cannot do an eu deal that involves remaining under the thrall of the ECJ

Also behind pretty much all of Sunaks initiatives announced last week

You mean the same stuff you said was socialist nonsense, unaffordable and would bankrupt the country eight months ago?

Reeves seems also against raising taxes for high earners

So how's it going to be paid for? Looks like that magic money tree is growing well. Must be all that bullshit that's been fed to everyone.

Capitalism is if you can't survive by your own means you die. Any help from the state is unwelcome and unneeded and is just interfering with the market. It's far closer to socialism than capitalism that's for sure.

Not arguing about the affordability I flagged up I see?

Plus the support for it.

1. Retaining furloughed staff. Only need to do it until Jan and they get the 'bonus'. So effectively what they're offering is to pay the wages of those at the bottom end for two months, at which point they can get rid of them. Kicking the can down the road.

Secondly, it relies on the business having the cash reserves to pay the employee and claim it back later. Other option is employee defers getting paid until the business has claimed the money, which chances are they can't afford to do either. So does nothing for the small businesses that won't be able to use the scheme but large businesses will. Money for the rich.

2. Eating out. If you've not got the money to eat out then you can't afford to eat out. So again it's something that will be of greater benefit to those that have more money already. Basically the state is paying towards the middle and upper classes having a nice meal. If it does encourage poorer people to spend more money on eating out than it would cost them to eat at home it's actually making that household worse off as it's money that should be going towards more vital expenses. Besides which all it'll do is move the weekend trade to midweek. Eat out then and save some money. Won't give the businesses much extra revenue.

3. The capital investment is nowhere near big enough. If you want to make a difference you need to commit to far larger plans than what are essentially previous scrapped plans being brought back to life.

HMRC estimate the cost of just the additional customs paperwork will be £13bn a year, that's actually a low end estimate, others have it as high as £22bn.

Our gross EU contribution was £20bn a year, net it was £11bn.

As well as Botham its being reported their will be peerages for four former Labour MPs, Frank Field & Gisela Stuart (who both supported Brexit) and Ian Austin & John Woodcock (who both told Labour supporters not to vote for Corbyn).
