Would be very happy with this, highly thought of at United, think he will go to a top end championship team though

This would be a top class move. I wouldn't expect it to be possible though, will be a hefty loan fee.

I would be surprised if we got him. Bournemouth are looking at him as well from reports a few weeks ago.

Would be a great signing but can't see him choosing us over more established Champ teams. I mean he played 6 times for United last season so is highly thought of.

Don't forget the Mark Robins connection to Man U might be a factor............

Now I’m never going to question @better days but what connection? He was a player for them nearly three decades ago and despite being generally credited w scoring the goal that saved Ferguson’s managerial career was never adopted into Fergie’s inner circle - in fact I think he’s almost entirely absent in Ferguson’s autobiography.
Has he signed players from Man Utd as a manager before? I genuinely don’t know but it’s certainly nowhere near as obvious as the advantage of having Viveash recently working w so many Chelsea youngsters.

Fergie isn’t there anymore and before he joined us again he was working for MUTV I believe

Mike Phelan is the assistant there, Robins and him would have been teammates there from ‘89 to ‘92

This guy should bring some much needed experience if we are looking at another Great Escape next season.

Tbh JHB I don't have any info but I know how things work in football
Although there won't be anyone left from MR's days there it's a famous incident and would be talked about if we were in negotiations
It's all about making the club attractive and using any angle possible

My mates a Man U fan (lives in London, obviously!) and to him Mark Robins is an idol.

Came to our play-off game at Wembley because of it.

Unless he is an exiled Manc living in London you should be more careful with the friends you make.
