What a shambles it all is. Quite frankly whoever wins it’s still full of right wing or left wing nut jobs
Have to say, thank God we don't drag ours out this long! I know we're nowhere near as big and all that, but this is mentally drawn out. Will it ever end, or will they still be suing in four years?

lvanka I reckon. Big play about first woman President.

John Niven put it in his last book (the fuck it list), fiction but I can see it happening which makes trumps behaviour all the stranger because it deosnt seem to be playing out well except for with the more crackpot wing of his support.

There was a senior republican on criticising him who was involved in Florida in 2000 and he said it was a tense situation which diffused because of the way the Bush and Gore teams conducted themselves

Who knew Bush would end up an example of statesmanship and diplomacy!

Wasn't Rudy Giuliani seen as a bit of a hero in the wake of 9/11 and even presidential material? Now he's another of Trump's barking lunatics selling any shred of credibility down the river like the rest.

Helped bring down the Mafia as well !!! Now he’s just part of the Trump comedy clan....it’s getting embarrassing

It really is a basket case and so much claim and counter claim that no one will ever believe the result whichever way it goes

I really hope the removal of the orange, anti-truth, uber fuckhead will signal a world movement towards fucking common sense and decency. We don't half need it.
He'll just be shouting lefty conspiracy for the next four years.

Can anyone explain to me why there is always so much outrage when Trump is called a racist? A lot of take going around today about how Trump did better than expected because he’s always accused of racism. He has made racist comments so why are people so shocked when it’s called out?

I can understand some of the backlash against BLM after the “defund the police” angle but not this.

I'm hoping the majority will see it for what it is though, plus he'll move on and get a mega bucks TV show and then he'll be happy
"Build the Wall". I can see it now.

Or it will be some kind of Russell Howard style "Fake News" hilarity.

The vote looks tight for me. Maybe they should have another one? Not sure everyone knew what they were voting for.

Presumably all those that had no issue with Gina Miller will understand if this goes to court too it is fair.

I don't care who wins, but all those frothing over democracy now were the same people demanding 'a people's vote'. Kind of funny.

You realise they have a vote every four years and in between the losing side doesn’t stop campaigning right?

I see we’re onto the whataboutery phase of grief already. Bit early IMO.

What counter claims from the Biden camp?
Trump supporters outside polling stations in Arizona chanting count every vote because the mail vote is closing the gap on Biden but in other states chanting stop the count because it's going in Biden's favour!

The people’s vote was a second vote on the terms of Brexit. The people “frothing” are concerned about an incumbent asking for counting of ballots to be stopped while suggesting the vote was fraudulent which is motivating his supporters to try and force their way into counting centres. Hopefully you can see how these are quite different.

This is interesting and shows how misleading the map most often used is. Should point out this tweet is from February and is showing the 2016 results not this year.

I can see that Trump and his cronies should stop being whiney little babies and step aside if they lose.

I think exactly the same for the people that refused to accept they lost the brexit vote.

Sure, but if Trump does lose he should step aside and do so with an element of dignity, not be a bloody baby about it.

This whole not accepting votes thing is passed its sell by date.

So should the republicans not run in four years time?

Look I don’t agree with the people’s vote but the idea that a vote is a vote and that’s it forever is nonsense. 2016 was already the second vote on the EU. There would’ve been nothing particularly wrong with a third vote. Four years is a long time in politics, as every mature democracy recognises.
