Nothing even cynical about it at this point imo. The writing has been on the wall for months now, gutting the postal service and spending months telling his supporters not to vote by mail, then acting shocked that... his supporters didn't vote by mail! That was absolutely a master plan by someone (I doubt it's Trump himself) to try and steal the election via litigation. It's not going to work, and at a certain point they'll have to give in before a Civil War actually starts.
