They delivered the closest thing to a hard Brexit with their insistence on remain. Childish idiots.

Anyway, let's draw a line under it and move on now. The (Conservative) government by their own sales pitch is now fully accountable for every single law in this country.
One major positive is that they’re not going to have any more scapegoats, they’ll own this now and not be able to blame anyone for the country’s failings.

At least you finally acknowledge the influence the EU has on its members. Have Italy launched the vaccine yet?

Haha, there will be more scapegoats to come yet.
It starts on Sunday - like the UK each country was free to start earlier if it wanted to.

Most people’s lives will be hardly touched by it and people in the future will be more likely to ask why did we join at all
The last time I saw a post as clueless as this one was about a year ago when we had an idiot saying Robins should go.

And we go full circle again and again and again , I must have missed the chapter on the result of a democratic process standing being reversed , now we have the tosser Sturgeon gibbing off again , she should focus on Covid rule adherence .

On the basis that Scotland is lost to both Labour and the Tories now - she will now argue that the Scots deserve another referendum. Then the people of Scotland can decide their own future - whatever they want it to be.

The SNP have had referendums for 50 years - of course they should decide what their future is but they need to understand what this is from Mr Johnson. Immediate withdrawal of trading terms - a hard border with WTO terms, no inclusion on the newly established deal with the Eu and immediate requirement to create a new currency

We can safely say there will never be a referendum to rejoin
Correct.
It will be a future manifesto commitment to realign in some way, if not join outright. Not for a decade or more, most likely.
Referendums are the device of dictators and demagogues as Thatcher rightly pointed out. They cause nothing but trouble unless they are to confirm an action already taken.
This shitshow would never have happened under her watch.

You say that but in reality they have less Westminster seats than 2016 , they are clutching at straws the SNP also the recent result in Alloa where Torys won raised a few eyebrows.

The last election Unionst votes ( lab, lib, Tory) outnumbered Nats votes (snp)

Don’t believe the press or media on their own agendas

It’s certainly not about believing press or media - they have 47/59 now under FPTP and the Tory response to COV-ID has supercharged the clamour for another referendum.

do you think Sturgeon has the interests of Scotland at heart and do you believe in independent sovereignty?

I don’t have an opinion on the matter - that is for the Scottish people to decide.

And I assume you agree we should not allow them the benefit of continuation of the pound as a currency and also an immediate hard border and WTO terms? Also I assume you are now punching the air with delight that we have finally left Europe having decided To do this in 2016?

Certainly not punching the air we have left - I think it’s a shit idea. That said - it’s what people voted for and in no way should there ever have been an attempt to try and stop it.

And it was Salmond and Sturgeon that quoted the once in a generation vote , the polls were in their favour then , that’s why they quoted it , the SNP are the new dictators spilling half truths to the hapless souls who believe them , those on benefit are kept on benefit so they vote SNP as they believe auntie Nicola pays it for them. The highest drug deaths ratio in the WORLD is the legacy of the SNP , they cannot blame Westminster for that thoug they have tried and failed ,,, no the SNP will not get independence there are many many Scots proud to be British, the SNP will disappear back up its own arse soon. They know it as well hence the panic as many people hear even her core support are turning on her not t mention her ex leader Mr Salmond

If in a few years there was a clear and overwhelming desire for them to leave the UK, surely you’d be supportive of it?

Sturgeon would have a referendum every year - she’s as mad as a box of frogs. As long as they understand the consequence is a hard border with the main trading partner, no currency and immediate withdrawal of all funding from Westminster then so be it - but if the eu referendum was to remain I don’t think we should have one every few years in case it changes

If this ever happened the last person turn the light out on the M74 as you leave , you know all the people that pay HIGH than rest of UK tax to support all the SNP minions will leave leaving Scotland the next Albania of Europe , who will pay them Nicola ? Not the EU look how they royally fucked up Covid Support between themselves , never mind a few people wearing kilts with Magnum moustaches ( and that’s just the women )

Surely a referendum would be the same as the Brexit vote? Based on supposition and guesswork.
EU can't promise Scotland anything unilaterally (and Spain isn't going to offer much because of the Catalonia situation either)

And like Catalonia they are not allowed another go unless Westminster allows it - and I’m sure anyone who wants Scotland to have the right to a say yet again will be disgusted if Catalonia are denied at least one referendum on independence

Because Spain is an EU member...doesn’t apply to the UK now.
EU won't allow that sort of political interference in another country's internal affairs. Would cause huge damage to the relationship with the rest of UK. Likes of Hungary and Poland would block that level of interference in domestic affairs.
