We don’t have any attacking midfield players they are capable in this division. Hopefully to be rectified in this window

Any reason Allen has been dropped for Shipley ? When Allen has been one of our better players ?

Hotbed of optimism on here today.

Shippers is due a performance. Hopefully this is it. A bit harsh on Allen who incidentally was also getting pelters on here a few games ago.

All Shipley offers is that he can ping a decent shot from distance. I hope he's just been instructed to do that at every opportunity, otherwise he's pointless.

I'd be interested to see how many sides play 2 up in this league... It's not so much the formation that's the problem I think it's more to do with how we play in general.. Not overloading the box, very predictable using width to constantly cross the ball in without getting many attempts on goal from it... We don't mix it up enough or have the players to do so this season... It's hard to pinpoint really.

I really don't know what to expect, try and stay solid and nick a goal is my guess

Not confident today. Will take a draw right now. Bit pissed off shipleys starting but will give him another chance to impress me today. Come on you sky blue boys!!

Strange time to drop Allen, just as he’s finally starting to show he has ability. He did the same with Giles and Sheaf, just as players start to find form and match sharpness they are dropped/rested.

I don’t mind Shipley, but he’s been poor this season. Rabbit in headlights at times and/or hides. Let’s hope he steps up today.

We’re at a disadvantage in my view as they’ve had extra rest time and we aren’t the fittest or biggest squad as it is.

Because two up front isn’t automatically more attacking.......perhaps all the teams who won their had one up top and controlled the midfield

spot on, we've left the two up front isolated this season as well by not getting support up to them.
I keep using Derby as an example but we didn't just equalise because we went two up front, when we scored we had 3 midfielders in the box as well as the strikers and Hamer the scorer on the edge of the box, we haven't being committing them sort of numbers forward enough. Particularly towards the end of games when we've needed to. I'm not suggesting we go that gung ho from the start.

If we're going to play 1 up then the players behind the striker need to do much better at getting forward and focus less on the aerial stuff. 2 up we had a bit more relief when Max was more on it but even then it can't just be the 2 strikers up there
