They opened one small gate long after it had all started probably as a h and move, they did not let anyone in

On one random conversation with a stranger on a walk last summer I predicted this. I told a baffled woman Trump is a New York gangster and a white supremacist. He will not go quietly.
She looked aghast and changed the subject. This turn of events is no surprise to me. Trump and his ilk never go quietly; they have to be removed.
Pence, Pelosi, McConnell and all former presidents should trigger the 25th amendment or tell him to go quietly

They both ride around in the back of pickups heavily armed flying flags and are completely devoted to their leaders.

Checks out.

One of Biden's first tasks should be to enforce harsh penalties on social media sites that allow misinformation to flourish.
Going to be the eternal struggle between First amendment and the ability to control social media (then look at the Supreme Court Trump has left behind).

I love this reply on YouTube to Trump's video message today, telling protestors to go home, yet all but encouraging the violence.

Breezy Blixky:

"At this rate, Iraq is going to send troops in to stabilise the Washington DC region"

It has been clear for a while that the voter fraud thing has very little legs. All you were seeing was basically the equivalent of breitbart posting random clips which were hard to decipher.

This incident is pretty crazy, but I'm not surprised. There needs to be a peaceful transfer of power and the thing getting in the way of that is Trumps ego. He won't accept he lost.

As for the violence. Well it is disgraceful. I just find it staggering that so many people can deny what antifa and blm were doing but then act as if this is a random thing. There has been violence and division for ages and there is no point in wearing the blinkers. You cannot be outraged at one and not the other.

I think the coming weeks will be interesting for sure.

His tweets are being removed now. The one saying this is what happens when you steal an election has been removed

Technically he isn’t wrong. He just forgot to add he instructed his own senators to try and steal it from the people. He forgot to add how he told officials in Georgia to just ‘find another 11,000 votes’ so he could win it.

You seem to be forgetting we have a very useful precedent of the circumstances being reversed. Trump beat Clinton by the same margin 4 years ago (despite receiving 3 million fewer votes) and while there were embarrassing ‘Russia Russia Russia’ claims from some Democrats, nobody stormed the Capitol, Clinton conceded the election on the night and nobody tried to argue it had ‘been stolen’.

You told us there would be violence in the streets if Trump won again-it didn’t happen when he won the first time. It did happen when he lost and is still happening for months after because he is encouraging it. Biden despite his many faults would have conceded defeat and urged his ‘side’ to accept it.

It is all captain hindsight stuff. I can argue it never would have happened if the BLM and Antifa stuff had not been so violent. The precedent set by that has normalised violence probably, but the truth is we will never know.

All the, yeah but they did that scenario etc. Trump has not accepted the election and that is wrong. I agree on that. The whole violence thing was started by the groups listed above though, and not only do people defend that, but others also deny it ever happened. It is not possible to have a debate with someone so one sided and there are plenty on here.

Right wing violence is not 4 years’ old. And I reiterate, nobody stormed the Capitol when Trump won. Nobody drove around armed in Clinton’s name. Some people did try to shoot up a pizza shop because Alex Jones spread some lies though.

There is no corresponding figure on the left who clicks his fingers and can get people to do whatever he says.

Sarah Palin suggested that 'antifa' were involved in the actions that were openly discussed on pro-Trump sites beforehand and participated in giddily by identifiable Trump fans and Proud Boys. This is the fa that people should be anti

Trump runs next time as an independent. Gets found out but also splits the GOP votes a bit, hilarity ensues. We make it to the semis of the Europa League. Coventry re-enters tier 1.5.

He's more likely to be in prison or dead by next time.

I saw one post that claimed Antifa had infiltrated the riot and they would identify each other with MAGA hats worn backwards. They then show a video of rioters breaking in to the building with the hats on the right way round.

It's so far beyond parody now I can barely even get into it.

The difference is that unlike BLM and “Antifa” they don’t have the president of the USA whipping them up into a deliberate frenzy and then calling them patriots when they overstep a mark that neither BLM or “Antifa” attempted to do. That’s a huge difference, surely you can see that.
