Actively I think. I’ll check with the missus who has been studying when she’s home. I assume it’s some thing to do with not being tested on pregnant people so just to be sure. People who are trying could be pregnant and not know it.
Yup. it's possible risk to unborn child, rather than risk to fertility.

Should be noted it's possible risk too, as no data. Kind of thing nobody can get data on really, either!

Jesus. On a walk at lunch with a COVID skeptic mate and I almost mentioned “1500 a day dying” and caught myself thinking “don’t overegg it”, turns out I would’ve been underplaying it.

So it looks like we are currently testing more, But the cases are dropping. So this is good news.

Death rates are high I assume we will get 10 days or so of more higher death rates before this starts to drop in line with the cases dropping ?

All of those people said it's ok, they're all old, they'll die anyway? If so, yep, they're all insane.

It's a far too commonly held opinion which also encapsulates people with underlying health conditions.
If you could be arsed to trawl through it I'm fairly sure you'll find it expressed in this thread.

Yeah the way it's phrased is more the it only kills old people and people with underlying conditions, so why are we having all these restrictions?

(A surefire way to mess up those peoples' mental health, that!)

Spoke to my Nan who is 89, Grandad 92. Both with health issues. Still have not been contacted for their jab. Nan phoned the doctors to be told you have to wait for your letter and that was that.

It is correct to say that around 30 million people could cause around 99% of the hospitalisations. It is also correct to say we probably don’t want 30 million dead or in hospital!

For what it’s worth, there’s no evidence the Pfizer vaccine impacts women’s fertility and there’s been a couple of preliminary studies showing COVID infection does impact male fertility so everything points to getting the vaccine.

Thank you for the info

Just read that AZ have said they have supplied ‘at least’ 1.1m doses so far (so guessing around that type of figure). But will be 2m per week imminently. This, in conjunction with the difficulties in mass roll out of Pfizer vaccine due to storage/transportation challenges, supports the theory that supply is the main hold up of any greater ramping up of programme currently.

Hopefully AZ can increase to more than 2m per week as well, however, I’ve never seen any comments on what the maximum they plan to produce and/or whether supply to us is impacted by commitments to other nations.

We will be at the top of the queue because we got the most orders in, and approval, first

“The Government’s strategy was ‘herd immunity, protect the economy and if that means that some pensioners die, too bad“ Said the governments most senior advisor Dominic Cummings.
Take it on the chin was what Boris was saying at the same time.

I suppose really that still means you’re right. You did say no sane person afterall.

We agreed to pay for the doses we'd ordered months before they even knew it worked let alone got approval to ensure they would be able to get mass production up and running so we're definitely at the front of the queue.

The AZ vaccine is also made in the UK

so when will we hit 2k deaths a day?
