Respectfully, Nick, you’ve been one of the main protagonists arguing about mental health throughout the pandemic, and yet you’re willing to see old people and people with underlying conditions effectively boarded up until the end of this with no alternative. I would imagine that in some part ‘at least’ this is due to an increased fear of infection ‘either for oneself or ones family, and/ or a desire to return to the social lives we have been missing for such long periods of time.

Issue is stock but places are being told to throw away excess vaccine at the end of the day rather than use it.

Thought one of the advantages of the Cambridge vaccine was it could be easily stored. Why would they just chuck it away?

And even if it can't be stored surely pretty easy to have a reserve list of people who will turn up at short notice. The vaccination centre for my doctors is about 5 minutes away, if they called me at 3am and said I could have one I'd be there at 3:05am!

One thing about vaccine scepticism is that we haven’t seen it’s effects. And scepticism is highest among the young. So you’d hope by the time it gets round to the under 40s it’s been out a while and Bill Gates hasn’t taken over the world or whatever.

Found out my ex had gone into hospital this morning when my five year old text me to ask for more time on Roblox “cos mummy’s gone to hospital”, you can imagine my reaction

Any problems with breathing get to hospital do a blood oxygen reading and if low start the magic drugs. Thousands are being saved by getting the magic drugs in them quickly to stop getting worse and then it being a much harder medical job to treat. She’s done the right thing

'Im past caring, i still go and see my daughter and her family, i still go to my mates, i still smoke and im not having the vaccine because i dont know whats in it. I should do though as I've got COPD'.


Granted only 1 bloke but was eye opening. Was glad my cod was ready as i was unsure how to even respond to that
