Went into an underground bar in Berlin only to see a massive union jack with Coventry city FC on it behind the bar.

Guy in a city shirt walking around Bangkok.
And slightly different , my Mrs was in Melbourne zoo talking with her brother when one of the keepers without even looking up from his job said what part of cov are you from.

Did the zoo keeper admit to being from Wood End - and very highly qualified in dealing with animals?

Met a few when I lived on the Isle of Wight. Local vicar was a city fan! There's also another City fan other than me in my local pub in Malvern - not that I've seen him lately! Come to think of it, I haven't seen many people at all, lately! 😂

Anybody wearing a football shirt not at the football is a pervert and best avoided. Even about 50% of those wearing it at the football are into feet stuff.
Is that what the finding of your research concluded? Personally I wear something sky blue everyday in one form or another but not on my feet so I buck the trend in that respect, the rest guilty as charged....

Live in Hong Kong, I’ve actually met a good 20 Cov fans out here when we all watched the play off final together! But they were all from the UK. The weird one was when I was out in a bit of Hong Kong that’s kind of off the beaten track and walked past an Asian guy wearing a shirt from early 2000’s. It’s weird because everyone from here loves football, but they only like teams like Utd, Liverpool, Barca, AC Milan etc.

Another time (this isn’t a fan one though) was when I was in Anjuna in Goa. Went to a restaurant there and they had a few shirts hanging up. Turned round and there’s a big Cov flag hanging up there too.

I was in Australia, near Adelaide and we decided to get an Airbnb. Ended up finding a place in a vineyard out in the sticks.

Went to collect the key and happened to be wearing that season’s shirt. The owner opened the door and went “Ahh you’ve gotta be kidding me!”, turned out he was born and bred Coventry but had moved out there 15 years before.

Offered us an extra night at a discount and gave us a free bottle of wine!

Went travelling with a couple of mates around Thailand in 2006.

We ended up in a little town called Kanchanburi and as my mate was still in love with his bird at home he found a phone to ring her.

Me and my other mate walked into the nearest bar and a couple of lads outside said hello. As we walked inside the bar I said to my mate I’m sure I know that guy.

As we were waiting to get our beer I started looking at the pictures behind the bar and it was full of Cov memorabilia and a big picture of Highfield Road.

Walked back out and my love sick mate was hugging the owner who was a mate from home. Long story short Kanchanburi is the mini Cov of Thailand. 😆

Slightly off topic but I was in a market in Goa and they were selling fake Celtic tops. I'd cleverly deduced as such because the hoops were blue!!

I never stopped at Kanchanaburi but went a little further to the Bridge at the river so damn I missed out on that but I seen a Cov fan walking down the road in Pattaya with his shirt on, I stopped and had a chat with him

Most obscure was in a village was a group on the northern border of Senegal. Had gotten shirts from clothes packages and started following us.
Met them all round the world.
Closer to home (for me) one of my daughter's law professors in Budapest turned out to a City fan. Met a few more Hungarians through him who are City fans. Roots were apparently English teachers used to come over to Kecskemét (a town reasonably close to Budapest) as part of a twinning program with Coventry .

Seen a few on my travels from New York to Iceland used to wear one myself when I was younger.
Always see someone at the airport wearing one.
Always dressed my children in City gear when they were little, I was always proud to be from Cov and wanted everyone to know.
Bit old now but still have this seasons shirt and a few new tee shirts.

Obviously you always hear the odd shouts of Sky Blue Army if you're walking round any resorts in the med with a Cov top on.

I used to go raving in the early 2000's, and there'd be many people there in football tops, of which City featured quite heavily. Especially at the Sanctuary Milton Keynes due to being one of the largest venues and so close to home.

15 years ago, literally the other side of the world, a tiny Fijian island called Vomo. Only about 50 people on holiday there and Lady Ernie and I got talking to a great young couple called Greg and Linda. I soon discovered that Greg and I had a lot in common. We shared the same birthday, though he was 12 years younger. He worked at Sainsbury's Head Office in Holborn, where I used to visit 6 or 7 times a year to meet a buyer and to top it all he was a cov nut.

Unfortunately, said bar is under new management but there is a bar there ran by a guy from Nuneaton called Rob. But he’s a Liverpool fan.

There is another bar there with a city flag on the wall (well there was last time I was there in 2015) but that was just put up by some of the Cov locals.

As an aside if anyone does visit Thailand then for history Kanchanaburi is well worth a visit with the Bridge over the River Kwai, Hellfire Pass, the War Cemeteries etc.

Plus it is one of the cheapest places for a beer in Thailand!

North Somerset last September. Young chap with a couple of mates. He had an old Peugeot top on. Wild cos it was about the only chance we had for a break away last year. 😁

I was wearing my 2 tone face mask, so he eventually realised why I gave him a cheer 😂

I was once watching a Real Madrid game at the bernabeau. The team bus pulled up and Cristiano Ronaldo got off. I was wearing a CCFC polo top. He asked the stewards to clear the way and walked right up to me screaming PUSB. He asked me to come and sit in his box for the game. When he scored he took is top off to reveal a #sisuout t shirt.
Absolutely wild

Was in Indonesia last summer, and joined the gym on the island of Gili Trawangan. When I signed up, the old boy who owned it (Australian and absolutely stacked) asked me which 'English Soccer Team' I supported.

I told him Coventry and he went beserk. Said he used to own various Jaguar cars and always followed the team. Every time I went in he wanted to talk about it.

On a walking holiday some years ago with just me and my young son in Aberdaron in North Wales. I left him in the tent early morning to go for a walk on the nearby beach, and it was really quiet and peaceful, with just myself and a few dog walkers. But a couple were approaching and to my surprise the bloke had a Cov City top on, I was that taken aback I just said good morning and passed them by. This was a really quiet remote place, and not a busy seaside resort, but I should have stopped and spoken to them.

2009 I was working in the forest of dean and met up with a group of people doing the same, nobody knew each other but out of 8 of us 3 were city fans, always thought that was strange,

July just gone lucky enough to get away to ibiza and a random bloke started talking to me about city and I spent 20-30 minutes talking to him, got back to the wife all bemused saying I don't know how that man knew I was a city fan I never told him, turns out I was wearing my Coventry face mask, I thought he was a mind reader 😂

I met a random bloke at a bus stop in north Dublin. His name was Noel I think, and he knew everything about the City. Like everything. Chronological order of managers, obscure reserve team players from the 90s.....everything.

It was like the bloke you end up sitting next to when you end up going to an away game on a Harry Shaw coach. Bizarrely he wasn't a member of any local supporter groups and this was his own obsession.

Pretty sure I know the lads of whom you speak. Are they from Walsgrave/Bell Green? Defo them if so, one of whom used to post on here under the guise of, funnily enough, thaiskyblue.
