Bristol City have a state of the art pitch to accommodate football and rugby, but not sure of the cost.
When we were at the Ricoh, we had a hybrid pitch - 30% artificial rest grass. This was supposed to cope with the addtional pounding of the round and eggy ball.

Our meeting with the council didnt ever get minuted unfortunately but there were some interesting comments

Martin Reeves had not spoken to Joy Seppalla for 7 + years

Mark and I got the distinct impression that they were utterly sick of everything going on. Don’t know whether they wanted to convince us they had nothing to be blamed for but we were only interested in getting them to do something about getting parties to speak and do something to help.

They didn’t think they could ( they could) they accepted a successful footbal club is massive for the city so it would be worth some time and effort

The figures were tiny compared to the overall budget of coventry so it was understandable they focused on what they could impact

The biggest surprise was they were all in the meeting

Leader and deputy of both parties although conservative guys couldn’t make it and Martin reeves and the lawyer

As I said earlier on this thread earlier the book at some point will be fun to write
You two did a great job
Probably not overstating it to say your intervention is a large part of the reason for the reproachement that's led to where we are now

There was so little maintenance being done that at one point a big deal was made about them using heat lamps on the pitch. Something that's standard practice at other grounds.
