Im positive that we won't get McCallum back on loan next season......

Oh, wait, did I miss the point of this thread?!?!

I'm wondering what Norwich will do with McCallum. They've bought a dud here. He isn't up to championship standard so clearly isnt going to be much use to them in the Premiership next season. They can't keep loaning him out forever, so surely they will cut their losses at some point and sell him on the cheap to somone ? (Not us I hope).

As critical as I've been of McCallum I think it's incredibly harsh to label him as a 'dud'. He's a good player with bags of potential, his main issue for the past two seasons is that he's not had the luxury of being rested when he falls out of form - something that happens to all young players.

That being said, I don't think he's the right fit for us, especially with the system we play. Mainly due to the fact that he's very poor going forward, his final ball is often wayward and his defending needs work.

If he was still our player, I'd be more than happy with developing him. The rpoblem with loans is they need to be ready to go straight out the box, even if they are young, and McCallum is / was patently not that. That being said, it's only since Giles left (coincidence?) that his form has crashed, before that he was solid, if not exciting.

Oh, positivity. We knew this season would be tough, it is tough, and all the players have a season of higher level experience as a result of it. Now, if they can keep / regain their confidence from three seasons where they were used to winning more often than not, we can look forward to improvement next season, especially if we can add one or two, as a now-established Championship side.

Agreed. The fact that he's now a loan probably means he's afforded less leeway but that's part and parcel of the game unfortunately.

I think that's another issue though. McCallum hasn't got anyone behind him keeping him on his toes. Even if Reid was fit, due to his age and inexperience, I wouldn't expect him to be fighting for a first-team place this season. This certainly is likely to have an adverse effect on McCallum's motivation as he knows that even if he has a poor game that shirt will still be waiting for him on the next game day.

How is it worse?

Osti is better than Rose
Hamer is about the same as Walsh
James is better than Shipley

That's the only changes to his preferred XI

The team that played away at Ipswich would beat the team that played last night.

Get through this season, and a new era starts back at the Richo!

We can get rid of Baka, Kastaneer, Jobello, Hilssner, McRedcard, Allen, Pask, Mcallum, Wilson, Marosi, Shipley, and bring in some better quality (within obvious budget restraints)

We should have Jody Jones back 🤞

We should have gates that make us financially competitive, along with a fair share of parking and food and drink sales.

The pandemic will be over 🤞🤞

Happy days!

Or maybe the team that played away at Ipswich was playing against a mid table League One team and the team that played last night was playing a mid table Championship team?

If we had played Wilson in goal and Biamou up front, I don’t think we wouldn’t have beaten Ipswich. I also don’t think the team we played last night gets promotion.

And if you continuously repeat the same obvious statements. Some classics include: "Where are the goals coming from?!", "What will the EFL do about it?!" or my personal favourite , "I've been saying for a while now" [Insert Obvious Issue].
I know I'm one to talk, but he really does change his mind like the wind. Hes only been saying "X" for a while now because he has about every opinion possible in the space of a day.

I think there's an unnecessary and toxic stigma attached to people changing their mind. So, people changing their mind doesn't bother me as long as they openly admit to doing it.

However he rarely forms him own opinion and will latch onto a viewpoint until the next one comes along that sounds better and/or fits his narrative. When this is flagged up he either plays dumb or ignores the comment. It's baffling.

Why did you remove your comment saying that you said we would be relegated for months? After the Derby & Brentford game you were saying we were going to stay up.
We’ve been down that road before you saying we will go down then stay up so deleted it as we’ve done it many a time

Why not just stick to an opinion? You're so terrified of being wrong that you make yourself look like a fool.

If you form an opinion just stick with it. You never know you might end up being proven right. But if not, we're all human so we're allowed to get things wrong from time to time. It's not going to kill you.

Go back a few months look when said I fee we will go with Wednesday and Wycombe i also said I would love and hoped to be proved wrong, the level we perform at is inconsistent that to me comes from management down I haven’t suddenly said we will stay up,I hope we do our run in is the better looking one but the “easy run in” was supposed to be against Middlesbrough, last night Marosi should of started I like Wilson he’s done well but he’s been at fault in recent weeks I also blame max if that’s Godden or walker it’s 2-0 up again that’s down the the manager picking who started

Hopefully McFadzean's ban will be rescinded for Saturday too. Would have thought the club would be confident in it being approved if they're bothering to fight it

Think Fads is far more valuable to our team than some make out
