We need at least two decent league one players in each position then the kids we nearly have that.
Sorry im not buying it !!
We have lost half a team of championship quality players and they were all our better players.
Yes we have brought in players but they are not of the same quality.
Eric Black wasn't heading for relegation. Stupid, stupid sacking that one.
I'm giving AT 10 games to see how our season is likely to go, and whether SISU need to act
agree with some but we should gel within ten weeks or they are not profesional footballersJohnwillomagic - I am neither pro or anti AT was just interested to understand people's perception of success or failure after this 10 games benchmark. I agree that an average of 15 points from 10 game throughout the season is a realistic target but just unsure whether 10 games is sufficient for a team to gel fully with up to 10 new signings?

So I'm interested to know what position people deem success is after 10 games? I remember Norwich getting hammered 1st game of the season and still winning the league so researched the league table after 10 games that year.
Norwich 9th position with 13 points - finished 1st.
Leeds 1st position with 26 points - finished 2nd
Millwall 15th position with 11 points - finished 3rd
As AT has virtually a new team to gel so should we be giving him a minimum of 20 games before saying 'enough is enough' and getting another manager in?
I have been saying give him to xmas. If we are not top 6 by then he should be replaced.
There's a lot of adjusting to do. New league, new players, new coaches, a whole new (lower) level of away ground facilities for some. Give it time.
Reading were 15th on 12 points after 10 games last season and won the league.
Grendel;226579Every manager sacked was heading for relegation. The replacement always kept the team up so yes it worked the one time we did not sack the manager we were relegated. said:Personal views aside it will be interesting how things pan out. Regardless of what people say strachan was not that unpopular when relegated. There was similar optimism as there is now..
First point not the first time we didn't sack so why wasn't strachan sacked
secondlly what planet are you on strachan was hated by many before and after relegation even to the point of a fan running on the pitch to try and attack him
