I seem to remember Norwich getting hammered first game.....and then look what happened.......followed by Dongonzales reasonded comment wtf!!! People either are foolish or choose to ignore what truly happened to Norwich which is why it was not a reasoned comment!!! Clealrly I am going to have to spell it out.

Yes Norwich did get hammered 7-1 by Colchester,,,,,managed by Bryan Gunn likeable but hapless like Thorn.......Gunn was raipdly sacked and Lambert the manager of Colchester then took over at Norwich and we all know what happened there.....although from earlier posts it appears some don't!! I think if things not going to plan after ten games it is long enough and we should look at Norwich as a prime example of what a quick change of manager can achieve!

I added the 3 promoted teams stats regarding league positions after 10 games when Norwich got promoted from Div 1 as a perspective of potential situations and how these can change by the end of the season.

To add some balance to the discussion Millwall finished 3rd and got promoted via the play off's in the same season. They were in 15th place with 11 points after 10 games and did not change their manager - Kenny Jacket.

So it can work both ways, hence why I felt that 20 games would be a better time to judge AT. But it's all about opinions?

Was not just thinking about Norwich. More the general gist that you can't always judge it by Xmas look at Reading.

I think if he gets his 2 signings and no one leaves AT is fair game.

However without the two more signings we don't have 2 quality players in each position. For example cody get injured tomorrow for 3 months. Do you still expect us to go up.

So I think suggesting that a team that has just taken on 7 to 8 new signings might have a better second half to the season than first half and that judging a team by Xmas may not always be the best way as reasonable.

I think as long as the top six is a genuine possibility you should stick with AT.

First point not the first time we didn't sack so why wasn't strachan sacked

secondlly what planet are you on strachan was hated by many before and after relegation even to the point of a fan running on the pitch to try and attack him

Ahhh my old mate John Sproul.I've said it so many times i can't for the life of me understand why Richardson could'nt see that Strachan just could'nt get enough out of that squad in his final 18months ,while Big Sam was working miracles over at Notts County.:thinking about:

Well it's all about opinions as people have stated. I think we should start strongly with what we have anyway, however agree another striker and another centre mid would be desirable before the season kicks off.

Will see what occurs in next few weeks PUSB!

Given how important this season is can we afford 20 games?
I feel if we don t return at the first time of asking I see another period of decline. Hit the ground running springs to mind

It is s tough one I would say you have to give someone a whole season. However the January transfer window is a good point also if we don't go up on the back of signing players SISU probably won't invest again.

However without these two extra signings a creative midfielder and another out and out goal scorer. My personal view is that we are a mid table team.

We have a sprinkle of quality. A lot of unknown potential.

Our first 11 will probably beat anyone. However lose 3 of our best at the same time and I think we will be average.

For me if we are 15th or below with this team then we are under achieving. 14th to 8th expected.

Sign that creative midfielder and goal getter. Then we should be able to cope with whatever injuries come our way.

Then anything below 6th will be an under achievement.

I have said it before JW if we make those two extra signings without anyone else going out. Then you were right a while back to have faith in SISU.

However at the moment with 8 to 9 out and 6 in. I feel SISU have secured our league one status. I did not think they would do that.

2 more signings and it really is game on
