£5.30? I'd have told them to keep it
I was on a date so had to play it cool, I was seething though.

Spent £48 on 2 double Gins on a date in Cheltenham last summer though. That was worse.

Needed your toni and guy trim to go with that pretentiousness.
His arse fell out when Greggs called him out.How come you’ll only offer Grendel out and no one else? ‘Weird flex’ how old are ya
I'm as desperate for 21st June as everyone else but if they say, for example, an extra two weeks lockdown just to make sure we're clear of it then it's worth it. No point getting this far only to fuck it up at the last minute.
Very worrying1979 confirmed cases yesterday. 7 day rolling average...up 1.1% on last week

How many jobs has it sustained is the more important measureSome facts about spend
Approximately 2.9 Million per life lost, give or take, or 83k per case.
Could be housebound elderly, though I'd have assumed that alternative arrangements are made for themSeeing a lot of references in reports to elderly people who haven't taken up the chance to get a vaccine. Is this due to logistics of actually getting it administered or is it because choosing not to get it?
If it's the latter, isn't it a case of stuff them, then? Can't expect the world to wait around forever if you're not going to take your opportunity to get a vaccine.
Then again if they still take up space in ICUs...
Really good thread on why the Indian variant might not be that concerning. You have to read it all, hard to find a couple of tweets that capture the essence:
If you don't know your number you can probably get it from the NHS app (the regular one not the covid one). When you sign up for that if you don't have your NHS number you can put your full name, date of birth and postcode in and it should find you and give you the number. If you know your nhs number it’s worth going on the vaccine booking site to see if you can book. I’m 37 so I can’t book if I don’t know my number.
If I put that I do know my number it lets me in to book.
