I'm as desperate for 21st June as everyone else but if they say, for example, an extra two weeks lockdown just to make sure we're clear of it then it's worth it. No point getting this far only to fuck it up at the last minute.

Knowing my luck they’ll postpone it until the day after the one that matters...

It has been at that level for weeks?

Yep ! Basically suggesting that whilst there’s a bit of panic and modellers (media) predicting 6k-10k hospitalisation a day, at present there’s little change. Fingers crossed it stays that way !

Edit - cant see overall latest hospitalisations but PHE (England only) still showing daily net decrease (798 in hospital with Covid across the country). North West is staying flat but no surge at the moment

Needed your toni and guy trim to go with that pretentiousness. ;)
Toddy is still operating just round the corner from me.
First cut in around five months last week, just a fiver to his best customer's.
Good enough for the City players ,good enough for this balding old fart.

Poor old lad caught this crap thing just after Christmas and got over it at home .

Good news from GSK/Sanofi today.
97%+ efficacy in trials.
Stage 3 trials Upcoming.
Might be useful as a booster if in time.
Based on same technique used for flu vaccine,so adaptable to the season it's given I assume.

Seeing a lot of references in reports to elderly people who haven't taken up the chance to get a vaccine. Is this due to logistics of actually getting it administered or is it because choosing not to get it?

If it's the latter, isn't it a case of stuff them, then? Can't expect the world to wait around forever if you're not going to take your opportunity to get a vaccine.

Then again if they still take up space in ICUs...

Could be housebound elderly, though I'd have assumed that alternative arrangements are made for them

If you know your nhs number it’s worth going on the vaccine booking site to see if you can book. I’m 37 so I can’t book if I don’t know my number.
If I put that I do know my number it lets me in to book.

If you don't know your number you can probably get it from the NHS app (the regular one not the covid one). When you sign up for that if you don't have your NHS number you can put your full name, date of birth and postcode in and it should find you and give you the number.
