Not the cancer argument again, haven't seen that one for months! Cancer isn't contagious.

Of course this was going to get rammed down our throats, it's a once in a lifetime event that has killed 3.5m people worldwide, it was hardly going to get brushed under the carpet or painted as nothing to worry about was it

No cancer isn't contagious, more of a risk to some people though so should we just give up on life now in case we get it one day? I'm much more likely to die from cancer than COVID, that's not just saying it. It's fact.

Should I give up on life now in case I get it or just live life normally and see what happens?

I'm not sure what your point is. Covid is more of a risk to some people than cancer, just as cancer is more of a risk to some than Covid. Lockdown was necessary to stop a dangerous virus ripping through the population. Even with incredibly tight lockdown measures 3.5m have died. Imagine how many would've died without lockdowns?

Yes exactly. Different people are at risk of different things.

Lockdowns are easing, my point is about people who aren't keen on them easing.

Hiv killed 25 million and certainly was in a lot of people’s life times as was Hong Kong and Asian flu which killed over a million each

Isn't hiv and aids killing a fair few thousand every year? I'd guess a hell of a lot less now though.

Yeah as well as the media ramming it down people's throats 24/7 that the world is going to end.

How many people die every day from cancer alone? Maybe we should just give up life now in case we get cancer one day?

It really is no way to live.

Thats a ridiculous comparison.

Thats a ridiculous comparison.

How is it?

My point is that we can't all give up a normal life because of a chance of getting COVID, Cancer, Aids or whatever else.

Oh tripe mutant Yorkshire Variant, CLOSE THE WORLD FOREVER! It is going to be something we need to learn to live with.

I think it's because you will die from standard conditions/illness if you can't access the normal paths of healthcare if it's swamped through not controling the pandemic, which we now look to be doing.

It isn’t. It’s a disease that’s classed as a pandemic and is transferred between humans.

If everyone was locked in for a couple of years and sexual inter course was made globally a crime would the transmission rate and deaths be the same?

If we could stop cancer by socially distancing and wearing masks I think most people would do it.
Aids in general could be stopped by practicing safe sex.
We've put normal life on hold for just over a year to prevent adding to the 130k deaths.
It was the right course of action in my opinion and hopefully we're on the way out of it now.

You can go to the pub and not have sex.
And I don't know how many peopledied from HIV but I don't think it was 130k in just over a year.

It looks as though the vaccines are effective against the Indian variant. Shouldn't be an issue.

700,000 are still dying globally every year and 26 million have died. You can go to pub and not have sex but afterwards with alcohol in your system you might

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve definitely cut down on the number of cigars and orgies I go through in order to minimise my risk of getting cancer or AIDS.

If there was a similarly straightforward way to stop me getting COVID then I’d be glad to sack off social distancing and do that instead.

We’re not far from having vaccined our way out. Sadly there is no vaccine for non infectious diseases or for the likes of HIV but thankfully for the latter if you wear condoms and don’t share drug needles there’s a very high chance you’ll never get it.

Pretty sure you can decrease cancer by changing the way some people live.

Maybe we could force people to exercise to decrease obesity and therefore bring down the risk a bit?
Maybe we could ban smoking full stop, just completely ban it.

How many deaths every year could be prevented if people weren't obese? How much would the strain be decreased on the NHS?

Like I said, if we want to fuck with people's lives and tell them how to live then where does it stop?

By this I mean going forward with people who are petrified of coming out of lockdown.

Let’s be honest the only chance of you having an unpaid orgy is if it’s with Andy Turner and Alan Poole

Well there is a drug they can buy that seems to prevent their death, possibly pass it on, and lead full term lifespan etc .
Not sure if it's been adopted as an NHS freely available yet though.

Shame they can’t just wear a mask as that stops Covid spread doesn’t it?

And people will continue dying of covid in many countries but like HIV it looks as though for certain countries, us included, we're on the verge of being able to control it.
You only have to look at what happened last autumn/winter to know we couldn't let this thing run rampant through society unless of course you're not bothered about how many people die.

Well I was being kind by pretending you’d attract two. Actually if you don’t mind a beardy BJ I guess Bobby would do it and even wear his wasps top

It doesn't stop it, as last autumn and winter proved. If we hadn't had preventative measures in place wonder what the daily death toll might have peaked at.

No,but if you got it you would recieve a plethora of different treatments , interventions and potential solutions trying to stop your death.

I could spend the next year eating fry ups, drinking, smoking and not exercising, it won't affect you one iota.
Its a ridiculous comparison.

I've said before, of course there are people who are frightened of coming out of lock down, I can understand it in the same way there are people who are frightened of another lockdown, I can understand that as well.
These are strange times and they've fucked with peoples heads.

You could also cough all over me and sit next to me and I won't die of COVID,

It's fact that obesity can increase the risk of cancers.
It is also fact that obesity increases the chance of lots of other illnesses.

Maybe we can ban fat cunts to save the NHS?

I think I would mind actually but don’t worry. I’m always glad you’re thinking of me and keeping busy on a Saturday with all your friends anyway.
