I was thinking it was too early cos it's only just after 6.

Need to give it at least another couple of hours I would have thought.

I never ever trust bald headed men who sweat a lot and have bellies bigger than a sea lion.

He should be sacked for those three reasons if nothing else.

I like my managers to look smart, clean cut and business like. Like they are just about to hold a board meeting video conference with Tokyo, New York and Paris.

Andy Thorn looks like someone who has just come to empty the bins.

Perhaps we should get Coleman back?

After the Shrewsbury game: 18 September. That's the time for the verdict. That's when Clarke will say "I have every confidence in the manager".

Not that anyone could have any confidence in Clarke the fat git.

You can get away with that. If I said it I'd have to into hiding.

Coleman always looked very smart ,watching us lose from the technical area:thinking about:

And thorns looks very scruffy watching us lose from the technical area.

I am not a subscriber of the body image thing but I do remember years ago I managed some franchises in the motor industry. I went to visit a family owned business one day and I met the General Manager who looked rather glum. When I asked what was wrong he said he had a visit from the owner of the business (eccentric, old school) and was told to dismiss his sales manager. Why I asked he has only just started. I'm told he's too fat was his response. The owner doesn't like fat people they are lazy and not productive get rid of him - and he did!

He had not yet come accross the Mick Quinn of the car sales industry then

Course it matters.

When you are a player on the pitch and look across to the dugout, what thought do you want running through your head?

'This guy is smart, strong, clean cut, calm, in control and a snappily dressed quick thinker and decision maker'

or

'Would I buy a used car off this bloke?'

Agreed. This is why people who keep saying Jose etc. would make no difference just don't get it. It's not just the quality of the players but the man himself. Managers need to exude credibility and command respect both through the way they speak and present themselves.

Imagine the player gossip when thorn publicly declared Eastwood was overweight.

Did you ever see Brian Clough in his tatty tracky bottoms and green sweatshirt. Not comparing Thorn to Cloughy here but the image thing is a non starter for me.

Unfair - you cannot compare that era with the modern game

And actually until he succumbed to his issues he was very smart and insisted his players were the same.

Reckon if Thorn hadn't made it in football he'd have been selling dodgy videos out of a suitcase down Camden Market.
