Human beings do in every walk of life. Managers will have a go at a member of staff when they do something wrong. Sometimes they're harsh, sometimes they're not but the result is the same. The person becomes downhearted for a bit, maybe takes it the wrong way and perhaps doesn't perform as well as they did before until they finally get over it and start performing properly again.
It's called life experience. It's what makes us who we are and it's what teaches us to avoid the mistakes weve made before. Anyone who says football isnt like this isnt seeing the bigger picture. Bigi may have been down about getting shouted at and he may have had a mope about it but he's picked himself back up, chalked it down to life experience and is now forging his career at newcastle.
If Thorn were to treat all his young players with kid gloves then they'd never learn anything. It's like letting the spoilt kid get away with breaking toys because you know you can afford to buy more for him. He'll continue to break toys because he's completely aware of this fact and he'll never learn that it's wrong.
Mos importantly he will never learn that you must treasure the things that are given to you whatever they may be. If he doesnt learn to treasure and love these gifts, he may start seeing people and animals in the same way and then they start getting hurt too. I know that last part is a bit extreme but it does show that if Bigi wasnt brought up for an infraction, he might continue to think he was playing good and so when he fecks up majorly the come down is even worse.
Better to know your faults when they are small than to have them hit you in the face like a speeding train when they are large and out of control!
