I find some of these comments a little odd to be honest.

I also listened to the podcasts where players said he didn’t like team meetings etc.

But despite that Robins made him his number 1 target that summer. So he couldn’t have been that disruptive could he ?? Robins doesn’t suffer fools.

in addition we were woeful in the finsl third last year. We all watched match after match where we barely caused a threat. How many interviews did Robins give where he talked about improving that final pass.

I have no idea whether the Bright rumours are true but if they are it’s because Robins ( who has seen him much much more than 2 lines on a podcast ) thinks there is a player in there that is worth a gamble.

he’s a young guy who needs to mature and maybe just maybe we could get a bargain.

I’m not saying we will, just that I could see why Robins might consider him.

He clearly a little eccentric but Robins clearly got the best out of him. Nothing to suggest he couldn’t do that again should he decide to sign him again, so the only question mark is is he good enough for the championship.

Look the one man that has worked with him has an idea of his personality how he affects team spirit and what he offers to the team.that man is mark Robins and he has Adi vivesh backing him up who I don't think takes any nonsense from players splitting team spirit so maybe people looking at the negative publicity around bright.from what I see is he pissed fans off here because of his remarks after he finished the loan when recalled back to wolves, whilst here all he did was improve us on the pitch.

How has the recruitment been desperate? We needed a keeper so we signed one. We needed a forward with championship pedigree and we got one. Sheaf was already agreed. This Bright rumour is exactly that. I’ll trust Robins’ judgement
I was talking purely about potentially signing Bright.

Two journeymen and two who were on loan here last season doesn’t exactly scream “a fully functioning scouting network” TBH.

I can see the article on the official now in late Jan.

Coventry City can confirm Bright has left the club by mutual consent.

He was certainly interested and by all accounts is again. He clearly thinks he can get the best out of him.

Doesn't mean number 1 target though, he then bullshitted city fans for weeks and signed for Wigan didn't he?

Things have also changed massively since then for both him and us. Our stock is higher, his has virtually vanished.

I love how people on here act like they personally know him and his attitude. If Robins has worked with him and thinks he can get the best out of him then I trust that, Bright was an outstanding player for us.

In League 1 and flopped at Wigan and 2 other foreign clubs an indian club and greek one so surely he isn’t all that anymore

I think he never showed up after a couple of days rather than it being Peterborough's decision.

“Bright was only here for two days,” Darren Ferguson said.
“He came down, we had a look and he played 60 minutes of an Under 23 game, but we decided not to take it any further."

If he wasn’t good enough for them in League 1 why are people thinking he is good enough for us now yes Robins got the best out of him but we can get better

I’m not sure you know what a journeyman is. Moore had been at Sheffield United for five years so not like he drifted from club to club like journeymen do and Waghorn has been a very good player at this level for a few years. Honestly, who were you expecting us to bring in?

I can’t believe he’s looking at him - more the guys agent pushing about the only decent option available
It’s the dream player people want. One that costs nothing, we don’t pay and wins the league

I don’t think the club will allow one player to make them look utterly foolish

Waghorn is a journeyman. He holds the record for scoring for different clubs in the division.

Moore is a L1 keeper. His record at this level is worse than Wilson’s. I’m hoping the rumour were after another GK is true.

Who was I expecting? Same as previous seasons really, some young Prem castoffs (Sheaf/Györkeres) some up and coming lower league/foreign players, a couple of experienced frees. Just would rather have the experience at the back or in midfield or at least a big striker. If Moore had experience he’d be fine, but he’s barely played since his mid twenties. Concerned Waghorn did nothing in a poor Derby side last year and their general consensus is his best days are behind him and he’s not cheap.

Yes because our foreign players generally turn out to be a success.

I agree but would add that Waghorn does bring a lot of experience with him and if he gets the chances max did last season he'll be hitting 10 goals. We need that experience to ensure things like forest away doesn't happen again.

We've made 3 signings, I think 2 are ok and the jury is out on Moore.

If we make more signings like we've seen I'll be disappointed but if we resign Walsh, Osti and someone like Sanderson from wolves, it could turn into a great window.
