Yes. He was signed as backup to Dabo, he did that job. But I’m talking to a guy who counts by far our best player as a “semi success” so fuck knows.

Our best player who hasn’t turned up since January

The fact you consider Hamer better than O'Hare says it all really.

Love how you’ve retreated from “all our foreign signings are shit and Hamer is crap” to “If you don’t love O’Hare the most your opinion isn’t worth listening to”. Top notch back pedalling.

How am i back pedalling. All our foreign signings have been crap generally, and Hamer I said was semi succesful considering his form dropped off a cliff after Christmas. You ignoring the fact you considered Dabo an overseas signing despite the fact he came from Chelsea and everyone else has said the same.

So if it’s not the scouting what is your hypothesis for why players who have to travel over water to get here are shit?

When did I say it wasn't the scouting? You're just putting words in my mouth now Shmmee trying to get yourself out of a hole.

And still scored more goals than our attacking midfielder

Agreed. Hamers goals really helped even though his performances dropped. O’Hare needs to add goals to his game now, he’s a real busy player and exciting on the ball but needs to add goals to his game now

I agree but would add that Waghorn does bring a lot of experience with him and if he gets the chances max did last season he'll be hitting 10 goals. We need that experience to ensure things like forest away doesn't happen again.

We've made 3 signings, I think 2 are ok and the jury is out on Moore.

If we make more signings like we've seen I'll be disappointed but if we resign Walsh, Osti and someone like Sanderson from wolves, it could turn into a great window.

If we were dead set on promotion I might agree it’s not an inspiring signing. But we’re not. Expectations are running wildly out of control I think

Well you don’t count Dabo even though he will have been scouted abroad, you don’t count Rose, why don’t you just say what your point is? What’s the problem with players who have to travel over water to get here?

Unless you spend big on them… they’re shite👍🏻

Dabo overseas lol. Hamer who we had to spend £1m on. Schmmeee has a weird obsession with the foreign signings so much so that he spent the whole of last season trying to convince everyone DaCosta was good. The reason we’ve had to shop abroad was because we couldn’t afford proven championship players

This is true

I didn’t even want to have this argument! It’s a boring as the old “CCFC are Sisu” crap.

Fine. Everyone signed from overseas is awful. Every player signed from the U.K. is a success.

How do you know we scouted him abroad, someone posted an article saying we signed him based on recommendations from Viveash from his time playing, he played half a year at Swindon, he played for Chelsea in the Checka trade.

Our relatively good run at the end of the season came from a really aggressive style, closing and harrying the opposition. There is just no way Bright could fit into that. We could afford to have him in L1 where we had more possession but not now.

The time to have signed him was after his loan period ended. Since then, he’s not done anything, for anyone.

For whatever reason, Bright just hasn’t got what it takes to make it at a good level. Wasted talent.

You don’t think we’d have watched him at all the season before we signed him? And again: Rose, Hamer, Jobello, Dacosta, even Kasta had the right ability but not the right mentality.

Not all signings work out. No shit. But two thirds is a decent record and about the same as domestic signings but cheaper.

2/3rds of our overseas signings certainly did not work out.

How is Rose a foreign signing?

Fine. You want every signing to be first choice even if they weren’t signed for it and to perform in divisions above that they were signed in. I have different expectations.

Honestly you can have this one I genuinely don’t care that much. All this to defend signing Martyn Fucking Waghorn.
