When you’re as naturally talented as Bright you don’t need to bother with stupid friendlies

He won’t tell the players to get vaccinated, says they have to do what’s right for them- is MR an anti-vaxxer 😆

No he's just correctly giving his players the choice to do what they want to do

That interview has put a smile on my face. Makes you feel a bit better about things and hid MR's words on Jodi were indeed lovely. I really hope he smashes it this year.

In a weird way Jones is a metaphor for the club as a whole. We’ve had the club equivalent of 3 ACLs and by all rights very few would expect us to be where we are 4 years after the first.

Pretty clear from his comments some of the players belong in the Masks thread on here. His comment about “hopefully they get the right information” suggests that.

Frankly if they’re unvaxxed and miss a game they should forfeit their wages. Same as if a player refuses to get match fit.

Wilson’s been using the jabs as an excuse for all those spilled crosses so at least he’s safe

Why though ? When they can still catch covid and miss a game even when they are double jabbed .

not after the 16th August though?

Double jabbed don’t have to isolate , right?

please correct me if I’m wrong.

If they get covid ? Or if they are pinged ..can't imagine it's the first

Still not entirely comfortable with punishing people who don't want to take a vaccine .. it's ridiculous

Because they haven’t taken basic precautions to rescue their risk and reduce the likelihood of spreading it to their teammates.

They can still get injured but if they decide to take up bare knuckle boxing or BASE jumping I’d expect the club to take a dim view. Looking after your body is a basic requirement of pro football.

Nobody should be forced to take a vaccination.. and nobody should be punished for not having a vaccination either .
I've had mine , I think it's best if people have it , it's completely wrong to force it on people

It’s their job, these are not office workers, they’re professional athletes

And ? They make their own personal choices about what they want to put in their body .

Robins seems to agree with that too as thankfully he hasn't lost his fucking mind either

No, he was pretty clear that he hopes they get the right information and that they get vaccinated.

When personal choices affect people’s ability to do their job, that’s a big problem, no matter what walk of life you’re in

He hopes they do , just as I do .

They won't force it on the players and rightly so .. it's a hideous thought , forcing people to do things they don't want to do , punishing them because they don't want to get a vaccine .

Crazy nonsense

Players who are double jabbed can still get covid , still pass it on and also miss matches .

Stop with this separatist, authoritarian nonsense .

Worrying some players haven’t been vaccinated. Will cause time out for self isolation.
Without going too far down this road but its worrying that professional sportsmen are getting caught up it crazy antivax theories. It needs to come from the league I think. Robins takes pride in the atmosphere he's built around and he's stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Anyway, on to the actual performance. I was quite pleased, Wolves are a decent PL side and we held our own. Some good link ups with Waghorn in which he should have done better but there were some positive signs.

Fantastic to be back in Coventry.

Fabian Delph posted something the other day about it being a conspiracy, though he’s never come across the sharpest tool in the box

We will hopefully get to a point where people don’t have to isolate if they get it full stop, vaccinated or not. At the same time being double jabbed does significantly lower the chance of infection and I’m not sure how people would be if we lost a group of players to isolation at a critical point in the season.

Perhaps that aspect of things needs spelling out to the relevant players, stopping short of actual sanctions for not doing it

Yea sure , speak to them advise them no problem with that .

I think we need to draw a line at forcing or punishing
