People will be pissed at this result and lash out at individuals but we've played well enough. Bit of a freak result and just one of those days where, as a manager, you dust yourself off, put the result behind you and focus on the positives, of which there were many.
Indeed, the game on the whole looked like a plucky win for the underdog away team

Overall today we can take lots of positives. We were by far the better team.

Barnsley were the dirtiest team I have seen in my life. Professional foul after professional foul. On any other day we win that game. I'm confident if walker stays on the pitch we would have won.

Waghorn needed to step up and take the pen, if Gyo was designated fair enough but to me it just seemed like he was first to pick it up. Waghorn has the experience and the pedigree needed at the time in the game.

I thought Allen was good when he came on, was direct and like I said at half time he was willing to make those runs beyond the defence to stretch the game.

Hamer had a great second half, allowing him to move out into the wide spaces nullified the Barnsley press.

I hope walker isn't out too long but it doesn't look good potentially a 3-4 month injury.

The ref was horrendous. Lost control of the game completely and bottled the red card (at least it looked like one with 5 putting his hands to O'Hares face) and the lino our end was poor. Seemed to guess half the time.

I'm certainly not worried about us this season, think we were by far the better team and with players to come back from injury I think we will be fine.

To the dickheads who ruined the minutes silence, have a look in the mirror, shocking behaviour.

We seriously lack a leader in CM to take control. Think Robins is making a mistake if he doesn’t recruit someone with experience by the end of the window.

JCS needs to come in. We need more pace at the back. Hyam needs to give way.

Again we lack creativity in the final third, but the reality is Barnsley do a press on us and just foul the crap out us. It works.

A point was there for the taking but you have to question why Waghorn didn’t take that. He’s a set piece specialist. Wolves goal was conviction.

Anyway, plenty to learn from the game and good to see Ian getting better and better.

To be fair I can think of 4 chances we really should have scored .. we created enough to actually win

We played better than last week but lost.

It's a results business though, and I would rather take the 3 points.

We will if we carry on playing like that.

Personally I wouldn't be happy if we played like Barnsley did against a recently promoted team at home, even if we came away with the 3pts.

Really frustrating.

Decent overall performance but lacking that cutting edge, which was taken away when Walker went off. Still missing chances that come our way like last season. Missing the penalty was almost a dead cert as the game just had that feeling it wasn't going to be our day.

Not sure why people were saying they wouldn't have Gyo taking a pen - he's a forward so if you're not convinced he's score with just the keeper to beat from twelve yards what on earth is he doing playing? Admittedly I'd have had Waghorn take it but i'd still expect Gyo to score.

Barnsley's tactics and rotating the fouls was annoying, but let's be honest if we were doing that we'd be fine with it and saying how we're being 'clever' or 'managing the game'

That’s really pissed me off…. I’m not going to let it ruin the night though. Instead I’m going to find someone more pissed off than me to cheer me up. My Forest neighbour will be down the local … that combined with Bier Moretti should sort me out. Have a good weekend Sky Blue people 💙💙

I remember @Barnsley saying he’d never want to see shit football even if it got results. I take it the refund request is in

Agree with all of that but thought the noise in 5he minutes silence was people on their way in

We’ve come a long way since the mess of a 1st half against Forest. No one in the league has won both their first games. It’s time for some people to take a fucking timeout
see, with good stats and info like that, who needs gifs ;) Gonna be a very tight league.

The Barnsley commentary was funny, most of their yellows were undeserved apparently and we didn’t deserve a thing from the match

Robins speaking on CWR. Sounds like there's no dedicated penalty taker and he just let them sort it out. But Waghorn will have the next one he says.

He's make a good hockey player, just come on to take the set-peices and fuck back off. Is that a rule in hockey or am i just making it up?

2 games into the season (although it's a very small sample size) I think we are miles better than last season. With 1 or 2 more loan signings we could really push for something more than mere survival. We just need to be more street smart in managing games, a little better in tracking back as far as our defending goals once we lose possession. Both goals we have conceded were based on counter attacks off our misplaced passes or turnovers.
