One of the dangers from tonight is how much other teams learn from this. Our back 5 have looked so slow and uncomfortable under pressure. If other teams decide to adopt the same tactic we're going to have to have a re-think on the way we build from the back.

I don't get why we've forgotten the high tempo, more direct counter attacking stuff from last week. That's how you beat the press each time

They haven't just pressed, they've been aggressive and bullied us.
we haven't been able to handle it

It happens sometimes. A few years ago a team I was managing were near the top of the league. Went into a game we thought we’d win comfortably, found ourselves 5-0 at half time and down to 10 men.
Fuck all you can do to change a game in that predicament

Don’t think our players have anything in tank. They’ve been running on empty. We need a petrol head in midfield. Where’s the engine room? Maybe need Vin Diesel next to Sheaf to add some steel? Some of our defenders have the turning circle of a fuel tanker. We lack octane in our attack.

I'm probably clutching at straws but it could be a good thing that there is a game so soon after this one

We executed an effective plan against that infamous Barnsley side last season along similar lines. But a bit like Brentford at our place, in shell shocked mode they just kept trying to play it out and got squeezed time after time

We need to address the away form , despite us playing well in all but tonight we seem to struggle to do the business

Luton have done their homework. Press us high whilst we fuck about short passing. If Moore kicks long we have no height except for Gyok.

Am I wrong?

Historically we've coped pretty well against high press teams & would have known what to expect tonight, the fact that we've absolutely collapsed is inexplicable.

That's a suitcase of memories that I almost left behind

Brentford just kept playing the same way all game long that day as we have tonight, despite it being a busted plan. Doesn't mean we should stop doing it full stop but it does mean we need to get better at what we do and have a Plan B up our sleeve for this type of oppo
