JCS, Rose did nothing wrong, but you can see the imbalance of having a right footer on the left side, especially that last 20 minutes, Rose was having to cut back in every time t cross the ball.

Agree with that totally. You could see he was moving up on the left side of the pitch but almost turning at right angles to manoeuvre a position onto his right foot, and it was slowing play down an ineffective at the same time. Hamer needed releasing forward from the moment they scored their second.

What surprised me is how bad we have suddenly become with defensive headers. Every time a long throw or a corner came in I fear the worst. McFadzean used to be so dominant in that area.

Disgusting 2nd half performance, had our goal so should have protected Gyk for Waghorn on to support Walker.

I thought maybe Sheaf on for Kelly too at HT, as he wasn't at the races today, but then Hamer was anonymous 2nd half too.
We were one up you don’t change it then. Walker gets the pen and it’s a different game

Yeah, lost our cushion though. This one is definitely 3 points dropped. They'd not won since August. Can only be classed as disappointing if we have ambitions to maintain our lofty status.
Yep disappointing. More so that we were so secure first half and took the lead

No it’s not we need to win we have relegation looming down our neck. They’re talking crap.

we’ve punched above our weight this year and are now playing more our level and people are getting reactionary about it
1 win in 5 if we don't take 3 points on Saturday.

Just because we've had a great start doesn't mean it isn't important to arrest it when our form looks like falling away.

O'Hare was way off the pace apart from the assist. Gyokeres didnt look his normal self. Its on the night rather than reputations.

O'Hare was excellent for much of the game but looked knackered at the end. Gyok did fine but clearly not at his best.

Problem is, with neither on the pitch you had Sheaf trying to get on the ball & make stuff happen but Preston are all behind the ball in a low block & you need a little bit of that Gyökeres or O'Hare magic. As good as Allen is he doesn't grab the game by the scruff of the neck & make things happen like O'Hare, nobody does.

Vik looked hampered all game.
Maatson was awful
Our reluctance to take a man on was evident all second half. Only one with drive was fadz
People bang on about hamer but does he really grab a game and turn it? Really?

MR gets the blame for me there. Oggy called it 5 mins in. We went to a back five and said let's see what you got. Well, there you have it. They got 3 points
Hamer was poor today, but tbf, Preston have a very good midfield, and with Dabo getting pushed back and Maatsen unable to give us an outlet, Perston were able to get an overload in midfield.
What really worries me is that it was obvious before they equalised, and MR did nothing to address it.

Think it’s best for everyone to go to sleep now. It’s gonna be a happy couple of days on here I reckon. Am gonna be wound up until saturday though.

1-0 half time it's not the curse quite simply 2nd half and well beaten the away form abysmal and think we should go 1 up away starting when gyok is 100% fit.

To be fair, I thought we were containing them quite well. We were well organised. Fell apart after their first, which was a fantastic header.

Horrendous second half, need to get the away form sorted quickly.

Blackpool just beat Reading. Still 4th … 3 points behind 2nd and 2 points ahead of 6th. It could be worse.

Silver linings

Shit 2nd half but we came back from getting bent over at Luton to go on and spank Fulham’s bare arse

Everything useful going forward came from O'Hare or Dabo.

It did. But Dabo was struggling defensively.
Robins had a conundrum going into half time but once we scored he should have prioritised sorting us out defensively but he didn't change anything.
Kept it the same when the onslaught started. Something he needs to look at going forward.

Right so, after 6 wins out of 6 at home, and piss poor away form. We don't need to beat the bottom side at home?

They wouldn’t be bottom if it wasn’t for a points deduction so that’s a stupid point to make

Maatsen was really poor second half

was a bit weird, as he was fantastic against Fulham in an attacking sense, yet somehow we never seemed to get him into similar attacking positions. It often seemed - especially second half - that it was Rose on the touchline. Odd.

Pen? Was that the offside one? Don't remember a particularly poor decision.
Was pushed in the back probably wouldn’t have been given. Robins will be annoyed cause I’m sure we just needed to pass it around and be brave start of second and allowed them to come strong. The header was a 2 in 10 chance the winner a belter but he was given so much space.
Could easily have ended 1-0

I think they’ve done alright in that sense generally. Only the Luton game they got dominated. Handled Middlesbrough and Cardiff well who both had tall players and played direct.

Gyk didn’t look 100% to me, and Robins should of flooded the midfield after the equaliser. He didn’t act and we conceded the 2nd. Allen and Waghorn were never going to rescue the game for us, and his triple change may be wise for Saturday but also felt like accepting defeat. We really need a pacey winger/forward available on the bench. Tavarres and Jodi possibly but they were not named. Disappointing night, We we’re decent first half but couldn’t handle the obvious Preston push 2nd half.

Definitely not fit . Bit of a gamble that.
Walker (yes he scored) offers fuck all when we're up against it.
Not the brightest
He did win two good flick ons to Gyokeres with his head and finished his chance well but I thought it was a very odd non-celebration. Not sure why when he was the opposite v Blackburn.
