RWB yes
RB no
Can't agree on rwb. Kane's hardly played for us. And I had to defend him from criticism the first 2 games lol. This place is too reactive.

Dabos been excellent for us in this system. His crosses need to improve but his all round game still adds so much to our play. Kane is nowhere near as involved in build up play as much and isn't as good at the quick interplay. A better cross isn't enuff even tho it's a most welcome attribute.

I think most are arguing that his final ball is better than Dabo's. Just depends on who we're playing whether that is more important.
Dabo is the better all round player, but Kanes delivery far better. Dabo is one of my favourite players, but he's just not on form at the minute, and for the amount of ball he gets in dangerous positions, his final ball/cross lets us down.

Something isn't quite working at the minute, we've been poor to average the last 5 games, its worth considering different options, and that should include RWB position.

As I said, people hated Kane before he even played.

Yes he has hardly played but still has more assists than dabo has all this season and all of last season.

That's why I said that.

It's worth giving kane a game or 2 to see what effect he has, dabo for me is the better player , but he's got to be shown that the competition for his place is real and he needs to knuckle down and work on his game

I think MR might need to be somewhat careful about his selection, there's a few examples already this season where someone who has performed well has missed out the following game.

Walker with his goals to be dropped for Godden (luckily this was justified with the goals he scored)

Kane with his performances and assists until Dabo came back.

Maybe less so Sheaf would have annoyed to lose a place having been part of a winning team vs Hull.

How many times can you continually drop players for favourites before they either kick up a fuss or think what's the point and lose motivation?

Digging out one of our players for a mistake he made as a teenager at another club 5 years ago is pretty shocking too.

Given he's still doing the same thing years later it seems pretty relevant. I can provide plenty of more recent examples if you like! 😉

As I said, I'm not saying he plays badly every game. He's had some really good games for us.

I'm just pointing out a big flaw in his game. Is that not allowed? Should we stop highlighting O'Hare's poor finishing or Godden’s lack of pace?

No & every right to your opinion, I respectfully disagree, but a clip from 5 years ago has literally zero relevance.

Fair enough 👍🏻

I just thought it looked too similar from what I see of him today at times.

Plus it's piss funny, you have to admit that!

Would have been funnier if he did it whilst he was at Sunderland 😁

I know it's a different level , but as something to aspire to, dabo should look at the 2 balls Alexander Arnold has put in to the box tonight

You’ve clearly got a thing about JCS. I thought he was no worse than Hyam last night TBH.
This is crazy. Yes I know that Hyam is unfashionable and not flashy but he played fine last night. JCS was shocking. Our two worst personal performances this season have both come from JCS, that is last night and Luton. I accept in other matches he has played well.

I know you and Grendel will always use Hyam as a scapegoat but this is just confirmation bias.

No one knows if Kane is better or not. But he's got two assists in about 4 starts. And he was brought in to provide competition to Dabo. No single player is undropable and kane coming in for Dabo on Saturday is a change I'd make.

What's the point of having a squad if we don't use it

And yet using images(!) of JCS being ‘out of position’ when there is literally no cover from midfield in front of him isn’t confirmation bias?

Yes, I am aware it’s not you that has made that point but I was promised this extensive post on how poor JCS is positionally and yet all I got was 3 stills from the first 20 mins last night when our left hand side was horrendously exposed, an image of him supposedly out of position vs Derby (don’t personally think he is) and a clip from 5 years ago which is admittedly rather horrendous.

What's point of dropping one of your best players who is playing well though?

I'd get it if he in bad form but it's literally ppl frustrated with his crossing.

He's a massive reason we are top 6

Sorry that’s just nuts he was nowhere near that bad.

Are people really going on record as saying kane is better than dabo?

Over his career he averages ten times the assists. He might or might not have other areas he’s weaker but purely on a “we need better delivery” standard he’s miles ahead based on his career so far.

Rose is the 4th best CB at the club.

I think it’s a very flat comparison TBH. Fadz and Rose have aspects not related to defending they’re better than the others at, defensively they’re much of a muchness IMO. We need at least two CBs in the summer.

Don't disagree. I like Rose a lot but he really needs a run of games at this level to show what he's got. Had a poor campaign last time, no doubt because disrupted by injury etc.

All those waxing lyrical about his 2 goal saving blocks conveniently ignore the fact he almost gave 2 goals away in the same game too not to mention his insane ball to Sheaf which led to his mistake v Blackburn. Yet most of the post match chatter had him as Man of the Match & "never put a foot wrong".

The fact is if he comes in for JCS it completely unbalances the team from an attacking point of view so is a non starter in my eyes.

I’d like to see Kane given a run of games…we’ve not seen the guy properly yet. With some of the games coming up I suspect we’ll not be needing a RWB who bombs forward and doesn’t get the ball into the box!

Yeah, it's not that wild an opinion either. Now... I'd disagree with you, FWIW, I think Rose is excellent, and drives forward to make space well, too. That said, the teams Robins picks suggests he agrees with you, not me!
I don't think there is an awful lot between the 4. I think Rose and Hyam are average across the board. Both capable of good and bad games. Hyam more reliable though. Fadz is number one due to leadership and bravery on and off the ball. JCS has more quality than Rose for me so I rank him higher.
