Bournemouth tickets (4 Viewers)

We were given front row at Hull but were told nobody can change seats they are given. They insist that the usual suspects must swap tickets each game to get the front row...
It's an away game, just stand wherever.

I dont care that fans who haven't been to as many games may have got a ticket tbh. Its a mad rush if you get a ticket you get a ticket in my eyes. The annoying thing is the Ticketmaster site, it doesn't work correctly. The club tweeted at 10:40 that single tickets remained but people trying to get singles from before 10am missed out.
That's not the ticketmaster site, there's no way its can't cope with 1K tickets for Bournemouth! I'd guess one of two things have happened.

People have tickets in their basket and haven't checked out. Once its in your basket its reserved and nobody else can buy it until eventually it times out and goes back on sale.

The other option is they weren't added to the site correctly or tickets were held back for the box office which resulted in a handful of additional tickets being added after the initial sale.

Agree with what you say about ticketmasters infrastructure but the UX itself is terrible.

I was online before 10 (first ticket were shown for me at 9:58) i tried to add tickets up until 11ish each time it would then say no tickets available then sit on no tickets match your criteria until one popped up and again same issue. While i understand what you mean about some will have been in baskets and therefore reserved. For that to be the case with me then at 9:58/10:00 1300 tickets would have had to have been in baskets as i was trying for 1. I was logged in on two browsers on separate phase one accounts, one was on a auto refresh every 10 seconds the other I was refreshing now and again.

My guess is there is a limit of transactions that can be processed at any one time, say 10/20/more and once its hits this then it will just appear like no more tickets are available. Which will then cause a bottle neck as more and more people will be joining and make it a lottery of who will get the slots as they free up.
This is common and why sites use a queuing system normally, so someone can't just join and get a free slot ahead of someone who's been waiting.

In my opinion isn't a fair way at doing it without a que system or similar. As I think if someone's been waiting, they should get the first chance over someone who's late.

I do also think you are right about tickets probably being held back for ticket office etc. Again, i think that's fair as there's plenty of people (older fans to generalise) who wouldn't feel safe/comfortable buying online. And im sure there are tickets already given up to supporter’s clubs, players staff etc. and again i have no issue with that but it would be nice for that to be communicated out by the club.

I'm a software engineer so I would say I’m competent on these sorts of things, but our system can confuse and frustrate me. Too many people, especially yesterday, see the same problems over and over when trying to order so there is clearly an issue and i bet we're paying TM a shit load. It also doesn’t help that then all the problems are directed towards Coventry’s twitter account who obviously have no oversight of the ticketing system so have to essentially guess when people complain, for example yesterday telling people there are no issues buying tickets as some had been bought when 10s of people are saying they can’t buy.

Its one of them and I have no issues with anyone who got a ticket, fair play to them however they got them. The process is frustrating though.

I saw the tweet about single tickets, refreshed for a final time at 11:10 and got 4 tickets next to eachother…. Something very odd about that.

We have had a queue system in place before so I have no idea why they weren't prepared for this one.

It then doesn't help when you have the twitter admin (who is basically first point of contact for fans) saying sarcy stuff like "it is working, we've sold tickets" and telling us they're still available when they clearly aren't.

It all just smacks of Championship club being ran as if it's still in League 2 which is a reoccurring issue on so many things at the moment.

It's Leamington football club I feel sorry for, all those fans lost.
I’d seen earlier the Leamington and Warwick supporters clubs have got 1/3 of the allocation before going on sale, out of order IMO

There is no way that is true. I doubt the Leam & Warwick Supporters club even has enough members to warrant 1/3 of the allocation let alone them being given that many. They were probably given a dozen or so.

Complete b&ll&cks (taking one minibus - don't think you can fit over 400 on a minibus)

I don’t see why the supporters clubs get any special treatment for tickets, they are just season ticket holders like the rest of us.

There seem to be a few of our fans that are full of their own self importance.

I’m just going on what I’ve heard mate, got given most of one of the blocks I heard. Shame for the true fans in the city that the wools get them all

More comments that the organiser of the SBT coach should have priority like the Supporters Clubs - does anyone know if London, Diamond etc Supporter’s clubs also get pre-priority tickets or if this is just for the Leamington & Warwick SC?
Probably the Tory's. All I know is the north west supporters get nothing as usual. Typical north south divide

Just Leamington and Warwick SC, that’s what I’ve heard through the grapevine. Shame for people that miss out on these small allocations

If the supporters club have been given priority. This realy does make a mockery of season tickets benefits.

Also if anyone ends up selling 2 tickets let me know !
Its not been denied on Facebook mate, the only thing they’ve disputed is the amount of tickets given, they advertise travel and ticket packages most weeks for games before allocations have been given out. One rule for wool one rule for others

I probably break even on season tickets based on the number of games I can actually attend at home. Maybe end up a bit ahead.

If I don't get first priority on away tickets then I won't bother in future though. I'll use ifollow and pick my games.

Like the mad hatters who are too important to stand in queues?

I’m a member but not a season ticket holder and I got tickets. I think the actual number is about 450 but it’s fair enough given the amount of money members of club put into City through various sponsorship deals

There’s been quite a bit of denial and justification on social media yesterday and today by L&W SC but the one that does it for me is where they justify being top priority by citing the amount of money they raise for charity by doing raffles for signed shirts amongst members etc.

IMO it’s not a charitable act by definition if you do something expecting favours in return.

I don't have an issue with a couple of high value sponsors getting tickets but if they're doing it it should be from them only and it should be advertised.

Sponsor a player for x and get guaranteed away tickets., fine as we only have a squad of 25 blokes.

No way should being a member of a club get you priority.

Is the allocation at Bournemouth a lot less this time than when we've played them in the past? I got a ticket no bother when I lived down south and I wasn't a season ticket holder then so they must have made general sale that time round.

Just going on what I’ve heard Harry, sounds like you’re protecting them here 🧐
I know a lot of their members (I am one myself). The only defending bit relates to the idea that the group would get 1/3 of 1300:tickets. Like you, I would be annoyed (even though I am a member) if that were the case, but as Claudio ( who I know, and has followed City for decades) said, it's nonsense. The supporters club are running a minibus, so clearly haven't received that many, otherwise they would be taking 8 coach loads. Just trying to nip an exaggeration in the bud. Despite being a phase 1 elite, I have to stay and look after my new puppy, so that's a ticket for someone else😉.

I'm not a member, but i'm fairly sure the Nuneaton & Bedworth supporters club regularly advertise ticket/travel package on their social media for away games.

Just cos you 'hear' something, it might be worth evaluating whether it could possibly be true or not (which this clearly isn't), before putting it out as a fact. People then believe what you say then and it all snowballs out of hand.
