I feel like it was scheduled to be at the Memorial Park a few years ago, but it got cancelled by the council for some reason or other.

Regardless, it's a great event to have in the city. Probably won't attend, but chuffed to bits that it's here.

That was Biggest Weekend, a spin off from Big Weekend that covered all channels not just Radio 1 and was at multiple venues.

I feel like it was scheduled to be at the Memorial Park a few years ago, but it got cancelled by the council for some reason or other.

Council were offered it in 2011 and turned it down so we missed out on Foo Fighters and Lady Gaga among others, was a cracking line up that year.
